Welcome to the October 2010 Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today. This month, I'm the 8th stop on the tour featuring projects for the upcoming Holidays made with products from Stampin' Up!. Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers. You may have just come from Debbie Currier - welcome!
I'm excited to show you today's project. My daughter Angie sews (she didn't get that from me). So, I asked her if she could make something with Stampin' Up!'s new Designer Fabric. Look what she made...a Wine Bottle Holder! A great hostess gift for the holidays. Quick and easy according to Angie!
The holder was made with the Deck the Halls Designer Fabric and Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding. The bottom was cut with the Scallop Circle Die, then a "tube" of fabric was attached to it. Didn't she do a great job?!
I added a Crumb Cake tag cut with the Two Tags Die (can't get enough of that die - it's a must have). I stamped and colored (with inks and blender pen) an image from the Holiday Mini stamp set, Bells and Boughs. The Merry Christmas was stamped with Stazon Jet Black ink on vellum and wrapped around the tag. It's attached to the holder with a pin and button from Vintage Trinkets.
My next project is a card made with Bells and Boughs, and the beautiful Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper.
Ok, so I'm not much of a watercolor kind of gal. But I've been practicing and I think this came out pretty good (for me). I used a blender pen and ink (Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke and Early Espresso), and watercolor paper. The ribbon/bow is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding. Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.
Well, that's it for me. I hope you enjoyed this stop on the Controlfreaks Tour. Now it's on to the next stop. Give a big welcome new freak, Renee Van Stralen!

Great pattern mix on the wine bottle cover......looks so vintage. I also loved the tag, makes me want to revist that die as I haven't used it much. Your bell card is stunning.......really beautiful coloring so don't sell yourself short. TFS your awesome projects!
