Now that we're close friends, I'd like to introduce you to Our Sweet P's, Max and Sam!
Why are they called Sweet P's? Because that's the title of our 2011 Calendar created with Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio. FYI - their last name is Przezdziecki. (Just try pronouncing that last name - I dare ya :). It's much easier to say "Sweet P's. Max is on the left and Sam is on the right - love those smiles. I crack up every time I see this picture.
Some background: Each year my daughter, Angie and I create 8 calendars for Christmas gifts. We started doing them after Max was born. He is now 4, so we'll be creating our 5th one this Nov/Dec. The first two years they were all handmade. Let me tell you - that's a lot of cardstock, adhesive and TIME! We loved doing them! But as life got busier, we were SO thankful that we could create them digitally. As that tooks hours off the creation time. We still get 8 copies printed through Stampin' Up! printing services. Here's a couple months from this year's calendar:
What's so special about the way we do our calendar, is we leave a blank space for a photo. Then each month, the boys (well, Angie) sends us a photo of themselves along with a cute little note. That way the pictures are current, not ones from the previous year. It's the gift that keeps on giving and everyone loves it!
I thought sharing these calendar photos today would be a great way of introducing DOstamping Celebrates Day#4 Blog Candy!

What cutie pies!! They could qualify for smurfs!! My current scrapbooking trend is traditional - trying to catch up - but my yearly calendars are digital. Love the idea of leaving the photo spots open - never thought of that. Thanks for a great idea.

Hi Dawn
I am a traditional card maker. I am just startin out and really enjoying it. Love your creations.

I am a traditional sscrapbooker, and an overwhelmed one! This could vastly improve things--plus, alternatives like blending the two!

I'm mostly a digital scrapbooker. I love MDS! I like traditional scrapbooking too but never seem to get it done. August 25th is my BD. What fun to have a chance to win blog candy from one of my favorite bloggers! Thank you!

I am totally a traditional scrapper. Just finished scanning in 257 pages. Man in and out of sheet protector is quite a job, but I love looking at all my pages again.

Digital all the way!!!

I would like to get into scrapbooking, but I'm starting with cards. I like the idea of the hybrid, but am unsure how to start.

I'm really a scrapbooker that has all the good intentions of starting and finishing a book. I love mds because now you can scrapbook without leaving a mess and can just pick up where you left off.

great calendar idea! i have to learn how to use mds soon.

Your calendar pages are great and I love how you printed it without the photos! Brilliant! I would love to say that I'm a traditional scrapbooker, but in all honesty, who has time these days? I love to digital scrapbook because I can get so much done in so little time. During the scrapbook month promotion I was able to get 42 pages done so I could have them printed at the sale price!

Congratulations! Love your blog and all of your ideas, thanks for sharing. I love all three types of scrapbooking for various reasons. Thanks for the chance to win this blog candy.

Congratulations on the 2 million hits!
6x6 is my preferred scrapbook page size. A whole 12 x 12 sheet to work on is totally intimidating to me! Going digital might help relieve my fear of the 12 x 12 page!

BOTH! Picking one or the other is deciding whether you like cheese or sauce on Pizza :-) Gotta have both!!!!!

At this stage of life, I'm the traditional scrapper but am seriously thinking of adding some digi. I love the SU calendars & would love to attempt to create for upcoming gifts.

I love traditional scrapbooking, but I call mine "cheater" scrapbooking: slap those photos onto 8 1/2x11 paper, stamp around and journal. That way I don't have to chose just a few photos, and I end up scrapping almost everything and we have binders of photos to enjoy! Now though, I'm thinking it might be time to switch to photobooks!!

I'm a card maker to the core. An A2 or A6 is about as large as I can envision my "canvas" and I love cards that slide, pop-up, unfold, or otherwise surprise the recipient. My favorites, though, are the ones that I make with punches.

I'm a traditional scrapbooker, but I have fallen so very far behind. I need to get back to it and get all those vacation photos taken care of!

Dawn...I am a traditional scrapbooker but I would love to try the digital method. I have had some instruction with Stampin Up Digital Studio but I need more time and 1 on 1. Loved your calendar. Hope there might be a video coming!

What a great calendar and what a great way to keep up with the Sweet P's! I love the hybrid pages that allow using both the software and traditional stamping!
Thank you for the fun celebration!

Love the name of your calendar! Love the blue icing all over their faces! So cute! I tend to be afraid of scrapbooking in general, but that's a fear that I'm addressing this year (my resolution!). I did a 3D project with scrapbooking, but I'm nervous to try the MDS (although I've had the program for a few years and I'm even certified in it!). I'm hoping to teach a class in MDS this fall, figuring that this is the best way to get comfortable with it!

I am a traditional scrapbooker, but it would be fun to try digital!

Love the Calendar...Its an easy way for me to scrapbook...gonna have to make one...
Posted by: Marisol Gutierrez | August 23, 2011 at 04:36 PM
I absolutely love the calendar! I think I may need a good tutorial to do this though. :)
I like digital scrapbooking. I am a little indecisive. I wasted a lot of paper trying to traditional scrapbook.

Not a scrapbooker- yet. Too much time committment at this point in my life- but one day!

In the past I have been more of a traditional scrapbooker. I have gotten away from the practice of scrapbooking & it has gotten away from me. This is unfortunate in the fact that I currently have a junior in high school. I would be very interested in learning about digital scrapbooking & I think that it could really help me get my memories and those of my children in order. Thank you for sharing. I truly enjoy your blog & your talents!

I'm starting to use digital images. Ones I find on the web. I'm curious about the SU digital suite. I've seen where people have taken the image & resized it. Givs you more versatility. Thanks for the chance to win the digi package.
