Oh my gosh - I love today's card using the new Sweet Cake stamp set from the Stampin' Up! 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog. This set comes with four images - the main cupcake image and three greetings.
Plus - check out the small embossed heart...that's new too. It's a new embosslit for the Big Shot called Fashionable Hearts. It cuts and embosses 5 sizes of hearts. For those of you who love the Beautiful Wings embosslit, you're gonna love this one too. It's a must have!
This was my Control Freaks swap card. Isn't this bright, cheerful and FUN?! A great card for kids and adults alike!
Dawn's Stamping Tips (for making the focal point):
1. Stamp the entire image with Pool Party onto Whisper White, then cut out
2. Color the cherry stem with Old Olive marker. (Just color right over the pool party color)
3. Stamp the greeting with Poppy Parade in the "greeting box" (I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig)
4. Next, ink just the cupcake part of the stamp with Delightful Daffodil and Poppy Parade markers, Stamp onto Whisper White scrap and cut out.
5. Add Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the frosting with a 2-Way Glue Pen
6. Add Crystal Effects to the cherry - let dry (about 10-15 minutes)
7. Adhere cupcake with Stampin' Dimenstionals to the layer stamped in step 1
8. Layer onto 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" Poppy Parade cardstock with Stampin' Dimensionals
9. Adhere onto Pool Party card with Stampin' Dimensionals (yes, I LOVE Stampin' Dimensionals!)
10. Cut a Poppy Parade heart using the NEW Fashionable Hearts Embosslit with the Big Shot. Adhere with a Mini Glue Dot
11. Enjoy!

Love this card!! And I'm so glad to see someone use this stamp. Usually the stamps I like and the ones most demos like are totally different. This is no exception. When I first looked at the mini online, this stamp jumped out at me over all the others. I love it! But I was beginning to think I was the only one who does. lol Love what you did with it.
