This adorable Happy Easter card was the hit at my Stamping Club Class last month. The images are from Stampin' Up!'s Everybunny stamp set and feature a fun and glittery heat embossed technique called, Faux Diamond Dust! It's perfect for this card as it gives it a decorated Easter egg look...super cute!
Faux Diamond Dust Technique (watch demonstration video below)
- Stamp image with Stazon Jet Black on piece of Very Vanilla
- Color image with Blender Pen and Ink Pads. Let dry - just a minute or two
- Cut with oval framelit with the Big Shot
- Wipe Versamark ink over the entire stamped/colored oval shape
- Cover with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder
- Flick off excess powder
- Heat until melted with Heat Tool (don't overheat, as the melted powder will melt too far into the paper and you'll lose the glittery effect)

Anita - it might be an old wives tale, but I think it helps conduct the heat and melts faster.
