Welcome to the Control Freaks April 2013 Tour (officially starts April 20th, but should be live by 8:00pm central time April 19th- so be sure to stop back later to take the full tour). We are thrilled to have you join us today. Our tour features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers sharing projects made with Stampin' Up! products. In fact, you may have just come from Justin Krieger's Blog
Our theme for this month is: "Stampin' Up! Birthday Creations".
Butterfly Birthday Ensemble
I don't know about you, but...I just can't put Stampin' Up! Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches down. I am so drawn to them and I find myself reaching for them on almost every project these days. So instead of fighting it, I simply gave in (again!) and you get birthday butterflies!!
Ensemble includes:
Butterfly Birthday card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2")
Butterfly Birthday thank you (3"x3")
Butterfly Boutique Box candy holder
I chose a soft color palette of retiring colors. I think I'll miss Baja Breeze the most!
Both the birthday and thank you cards have a panel with lines scored on all 4 sides to give them a little texture interest.
TIP: score with front side faced down on your scoring tool
Butterfly Boutique Box Candy Holder
Boutique Boxes make for a great last minute candy holder. You'll find them in the 2013 Spring Catalog. They come already die cut - woohoo!. Just punch-out, add Sticky Strip, fold and you're done!
Well...add some cute decorations with Butterflies and Marina Mist 3/8" Striped Organdy Ribbon...then you're done!
TIP: The box-top is actually folded backwards and stays in place with the ribbon. Just slip in 2 candy bars (yes, two candy bars fit perfectly...gotta love that!) and your candy holder is ready to go.
It could be a gift in itself or would make a great party favor too!
Well, that wraps up this stop of the tour. I hope you enjoyed my Stampin' Up! Birthday Creations. Now on to more, from the always surprising Jan Tinklenberg
You don't need a reason to make this adorable Petite Pocket Mini Box. Though - mine are for Easter, you can hand these out anytime and your recipient will squeal with delight (just like the ladies in my husband's office did!)
I've seen these little boxes all over for awhile now. Finally had to break down and make one. In the video below, you'll see how to transform Stampin' Up! Petite Pocket into a mini box.
If you're on my newsletter list (which is different from my blog email subscription list), then you just received my Week#5 of my DOstamping 6-Weeks of Sale-a-Bration Inspiration Newsletter. It included a written tutorial for an adorable Petite Treat Box, created by my friend, Tammy Fite.
I was so taken with these cute little boxes that I put together my own version of the Petite Treat Box, along with a short video tutorial.
How cute are these? Super cute!! They hold a fun-size Twix candy bar...my favorite! You only need a 4-3/4" x 4-1/4" sheet of card to make this sweet Petite Treat Box (say that 3 times fast)!
Get out your Simply Scored Tool and follow along with my How'd She DO That? video below.

Here's Max's Valentine Treat and Card. Yes, he insisted on a card with his treat pouch
Together we made 24 sucker holders using the Petal Cone Die. The "please deliver" is from the new Sent with Love Promotion. The "Happy Valentine's Day" greeting is from the hostess set, Wacky Wishes (126410w or 126412c)
Here's Sammy's Treat Pouch
Sam made 14 treat pouches using a 4"x6" Cell Bag, with a laser-cut heart from More Amore Designer Series Paper. The postage stamp square is stamped from the Sent with Love stamp set and the Valentine ticket is from That's the Ticket stamp set (128072w or 128075c)
Don't confuse "Sent With Love" with "Sealed With Love"
The Sealed With Love Simply Sent Kit was a carry-over product from the 2012 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. It comes with enough supplies to make 10 adorable notecards for only $7.95! Perfect for anytime of the year.

I paired it with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the Bird Builder Punch to create the beautiful butterfly and leaves. Love it!!

I received my demonstrator Stampin' Success Magazine last week and I fell in love with a couple of projects using the Hearts a Flutter Bundle (stamp set and matching framelits). One of them was a cute Takeout Box. The project uses a couple of fabulous sneak peek products from the 2013 Spring Catalog products:
Hearts a Flutter Bundle - stamps and framelits (131098w or 131097c)
More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper 1-1/4" x 9" (129309)
There wasn't a pattern for the takeout box, but I remember making quick and easy takeout boxes using the Petal Cone Die. I made one a couple years ago and yes, there is a short How'd She DO That? video. It think you'll be amazed at how easy it is to make!
