Let's get the parties started! Contact me today to schedule your summer party!
It's that time of year again...Graduation time! But I wanted to create a card that could be used for a variety of congratulatory reasons (like...for maybe even someone who joins my team?!). Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper seemed to fit the bill. As this DSP coordinates with so many colors, I chose to focus on Island Indigo and Delightful Daffodil.
Just three strips of the delightfulSummer Smooches DSP (125409) and this card came together pretty quickly. Add a banner from the Petal Cone Die (121810), stamped with congratulations (from Delightful Dozen 122650w or 122652c). Then finish off with a fun star, cut with the Big Shot (113439) and Stars #2 Die (113461, retiring). The silver brad is from the 5/16" Neutral Brads (112534, also retiring)

Here's a card I created for one of the make & takes at my DOstamperSTARS meeting this past Thursday, using the new Bright Blossoms Stamp Set and Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper! (Colors are Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry, plus a little bling on the flowers with Basic Rhinestones!)
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for ALL of the glorious details!!
I don't know about you, but I totally overlooked the new Stampin' Up! Elegant Bird Die from the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog(pg 10). I thought it seemed too big for a card and really, it just wasn't my style. Well - how wrong was I? I'm now totally in love with it. That's because I saw several ways to use the Elegant Bird Die on Shelli Gardner's Blog, CEO and Co-Founder of Stampin' Up! She totally won me over and I had to get it!
Not only is it a beautiful card, but oh so quick and easy to do! My kind of card. See below for the same card, just with the paper switched for the body and wing, plus the bird is facing towards the right now.
I can't decide which one I like the best. I think the bird facing right. What do you think?
If you haven't taken the Elegant Bird Die plunge yet, give it a try. I think you might like it!
