Flower Fusion - what's it all about?

Flower Fusion Accents and Elements is an awesome new product for Stampin' Up! 

They come in various shapes (5), sizes (lots) and colors (Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive & Rose Red). 

In the Product Display above, there are numbers under each flower.  Each flower comes in all three colors.  If you look at the first flower, the rose red 5-Petal flower.  It has a number 2 underneath it.  That refers to the number of flowers per color that you will receive for that particular flower - so a total of 6 (two of each color).  Approximately 130 in each pack!

Things you can do with Flower Fusion...

• Use as an accent to a stamped image or layer over a stamped image
• Layer multiple flowers
• Layer with die-cut blooms (Occasions Mini)
• Layer with a 5-petal...can be used with other punches (Boho Blossom, Scallop)
• Cut them up to use as leaves, strawberry top, etc
• Attach to ribbon
• Accent paperclips
• Apply rub-ons.
• Use with Pretties Kit, buttons, eyelets, brads
• Stamp with craft ink over flower

March Technique Tuesday #2 & Bonus

March Technique #2 = Emboss Resist

I thought this floral image from the beautiful new stamp set Live Your Dreams would be perfect for the emboss resist technique.  And sure enough - it was!  We brayered Groovy Guava over the embossed image.  Then added a little sponging of Chocolate Chip ink on the flower buds to make them "pop" a little bit more.  Didn't this turn out nice?

March Bonus Technique = Dyed Crystal Effects

This is so easy to do - just squeeze out a little Crystal Effects (CE) into a plastic container and stir in a drop or two of reinker (Groovy Guava used here).  We used a toothpick to add the dyed CE to the groove in the flower ribbon slide (from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware).  Such a great way to customize your embellishment to match your project!

March Technique Tuesday #1

Isn't this Easter Chick adorable?  He's from A Good Egg. 

This was one of the projects we did two weeks ago at my Hedgehog Stamping Club - Members Only Techique Class (wow - that's a mouthful!).

This card was a sample on the Leadership Display boards that I attended in Palm Springs two months ago.  I fell in love with it and just knew my club members would love it too!

Here's a good look at it showing off the "tent card" style.

Sale-A-Bration Rub-on's - Love 'em!

Isn't this a fun card!  This was one of the cards we made at my Flower Fusion Stack-a-Stack on Saturday.  14 campers and (four "To Go" people) got a half pack of Flower Fusion and one sheet of Love & Happiness Rub-on's. 

This card features a lot of fun doodads - but no stamping.  If you look closely - there is a Build-a-brad in the center of the largest flower (with a rub-on a the clear dome).   Cardstock is Pretty in Pink and Rose Rose.

Watch for more Flower Fusion Stamp-a-Stack samples throughout the week.
