Scrappy Thurs - Apr Project, Paperbag Scrapbook Tutorial

My Scrappy Thursday Club meeting got snowed out a couple of weeks ago.  About half braved the weather and made it!  Yeah!  For the rest - I put together a tutorial.  The paperbag scrapbook has been around for several years.  It was the first project I did for scrapbookers at least 3 years ago.  That year - I made them for everyone!  Well it's time for a comeback.  So here goes...

Allpieces

Here's all of the pieces you will have in your pack.  The DSP is all from 1/2 sheet of "Summer Picnic".  Separate them by their sizes and assembling the paperbag scrapbook will go easier.

2twobagsstamped

Fold your bags in half and stamp as desired

3insidewhitepage

Add your largest piece of Whisper White to the left side of a bag.  Notice that the white is on the "inside of the butt" of the bag.  Just fold that flap back on itself, then adhere the white piece to it.  Fold back to it's orginal position - like shown in next photo.  The intent was to provide "hidden" space for journaling.

3stackedbags

Stack bags on top of each other - alternating the ends that open.

4punchinside

Punch a hole along the spine - one from each end (going thru both bags).  Feed ribbon through to the front.

5punchoutside

Tie ribbon into a bow on the spine of your paperbag scrapbook album

6wonderfulfriend

Stamp title

7title

Attach "Family" to underneath Old Olive - creating a "Levi" tag.  You know - like your jeans.

8orangecover

Finish assembling your cover to look like this

9page1

Inside left page

10page2

Inside right page

11centerpage

Right center page.  Tip - notice the placement of the Die Cut flower, so the flower bend when you flip open the secret journaling flap

12lastpages

Last two pages

13backwpullouts

View from back of paperbag scrapbook album with "tuck-in" pages pulled out.  These "tuck-in" pages go into the openings of the two bags.  More room for pictures and journaling.

14coverwpullouts

Front view with pages pulled out.  Ain't it cute?  Just add pictures of your "Wonderful Family"!

Enjoy~Dawn
