Technique Tuesday - Flower Pot Sucker
June 16, 2008
What do you get when you combine a Dum Dum sucker, Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper and Die Cut Blooms (both from the Occasions Mini Catalog)?
This adorable Flower Pot Sucker!
My friend Terri G shared this with me. She always has awesome ideas! I just knew my Hedgehog Stamping Club Members would love it (and they did)! This was one of the 3 projects we did at my Technique Tuesday - Members Only Class.
Here's a few tips on how to create this fun project:
Fold a 2" x 6" piece of DSP in half
From the folded edge, score 1/2" and 2 1/4"
To create the diagonal slant of the flower pot. Cut from the 2 1/4" scored line to the folded edge, 1/2" in on either side.
Open up and add a small square of cardstock to bottom of flower pot to give it a little more "weight". I used the 3/4" square punch.
Fold DSP into flower pot shape. Pierce holes for brads. Put in one of the brads.
Put sucker into the flower pot and then secure with 2nd brad.
Wrap a pop-up glue dot around stick and adhere Die Cut Bloom flower. Add ribbon and you're done!
Enjoy~Dawn
