Inspired by Nature - Lilac Flowers

This Convention Display sample features the flower image, stamped off.  I like to use that technique for quick stamping.  Plus it gives you dimension without the bulk.

My favorite way to ink this stamp set is with Stampin' Spots (Lovely Lilac, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive).  The strip behind the flowers was made with Old Olive Poly Twill ribbon (now retired) layered onto 5/8" Chocolate Chip Ribbon - attached to the card with Vintage Brads.

Inspired by Nature - Medallion

I've received several inquiries about this Inspired by Nature Convention Display Sample - regarding the "medallion".  What did you use Dawn?  Well - it's pretty easy.  Just punch out a Scallop Circle Punch.  Then, using your paper snips, cut a "V" into every other scallop.  Viola - cute medallion!

Inspired by Nature - Jill's Passion

Growing up, music played a big part of my family.  I played the piano, guitar, oboe and saxaphone as well as sang in choirs from elementary school thru high school and church.

My sister Jill, also enjoyed many areas in music, playing percussion in band (specializing in the marimba xylophone).  Though - she especially loved singing.  She's continued with her singing with various church choirs.  Recently she started a ministry through her love of singing.  My daughter, Becky took some pictures of her for her marketing pieces.  So I used one of those pictures for one of my Convention Display 6x6 scrapbook pages.

Hidden Garden Rub-On's - Convention Display

This Convention Display sample actually doesn't use any stamp sets at all.  Instead, the focal point is a rub-on image from Stampin' Up! new Hidden Garden rub-on pack (found on pg 178).

TIP:  After transferring the rub-on to Whisper White cardstock, I noticed that the circle dots in the middle, where actually holes.  So I added a little Rose Red ink with a sponge dauber.  Then I punched in out with the 1 1/4" square punch.  Quick & easy focal point!

TIP:  To add color to the Flower Ribbon Slide (from the Style Silver Hodgepodge Hardware kit), just add re-inker to Crystal Effects.  Use a toothpick to add to the slide.

Inspired by Nature - Becky's Passion

I really love the greetings that come with the "Inspired by Nature" stamp set.  Especially the "Live With Passion" greeting.  It can describe so many scenarios and is a natural for scrapbooking.

Here's a 6x6 page of my daughter, Becky.  She has a vocal performance degree and has been in several original bands.  She is currently doing solo work as well as songwriting.  She's definitely "living her passion".

Flight of the Butterfly - Daughter

This page features my daughter, Becky.  This is one of her pictures she had on her "My Space" site - so I grabbed it for this 6x6 page I made for one of my Stampin' Up! Convention Display Samples.  The small flower image comes from the new Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.
