Big Shot Pennant Die Halloween Projects

Here are some fun Halloween Projects I did for my Big Shot Club Members October class.  This month we focused on the Pennant Die (#113483 for $39.95).

Pennant#113483

We made a Halloween Pennant.  I can't believe how quick and easy this was to make.  I'm looking forward to making additional holiday pennants and just swapping them out.  So keep an eye out for them!  This one uses the larger of the two pennant shapes.

Boo-Pennant

Supplies used:  Big Shot and Dies (Pennant #113483, Scallop Circle #113468, Serif Essentials Alphabet #113464).  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Blakc and Whisper White Cardstock.  Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper and various ribbon!

Here's another Halloween Pennant Die project - this one uses the smaller of the pennant shapes to make a criss cross card.  Ain't it cute?

CrissCrossBat

Yes - the bat is upside down on purpose!

CrissCrossBat-Kiwi

Supplies used:  Big Shot & Dies (Pennant & Top Note.  All Holidays #109397, Batty for You #109363 and Halloween Haunting #109284 stamp sets.  Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White Cardstock.  Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper, Kiwi Kiss Ribbon & punches (1 1/4 " and 1 3/4")

We're heading off to see our Grandson.  I'll share pictures tomorrow!

Winter Post: My Reindeer Gift Card Swap

Today ends the MN Leader Swap share and begins the Swap Sharing from my DOstamperSTARS shoebox swap meeting last week.  This was my personal swap for each of those meetings.

I really enjoyed making this card - which is actually a gift card holder.

Mine-Side

Stamp sets used: Winter Post (love it!!) and Short & Sweet

Papers used are:  Textured Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Frosty Day Designer Series Paper & Very Vanilla.

I used Chocolate Chip to stamp the reindeer.  It fits perfectly in the Styled Hodgepodge Hardware (this is the vanilla finish #112454 - which is now available to order).  I love the new redesigned kits, because you receive 10 of each item (see here for contents)!  I punched it out with the Designer Label punch.  I decided to use gold brads instead of the the brads that come with the kit.  I really like the contrast, don't you?

The fun part about this card is that it will hold a gift card inside.

Mine-Open

This is so easy to make.  The card is base measures 4-1/4 x 10 (score at 4-1/4 & 8-1/2).  That's it!

Here's the finished card

Holiday Mini Samples - Valentines

Here are a couple of Valentines card samples from the Stampin' Up! 2008 Holiday Mini Catalog.  I received these card swaps at the MN Leader Stamp and Share meeting earlier this month.

These two samples are sooo cute!  Don't forget, there are a couple of adorable Valentine's themed stamp sets on pages 24-25 in the 2008 Holiday Mini Catalog.  They are only available until January 18th.

Love-Natalie

This card was created by Natalie Swartout using the "A Happy Heart" stamp set.  I like how she stamped it in black, then punched out red stamped images to adhere over the black.  Much easier that using your markers to color the image.

Love-Lisa

This card was created by Lisa Petricka using the "A Happy Heart" stamp set.  I love that way she use the mini Library Clip attached to the round tab punchout!  Plus the Build-a-Brad is a great accent for the center of the tic-tac-toe board!

Watch for my swap tomorrow!

Holiday Mini Big Shot Samples - MN Leader Share

Here are a couple of Big Shot card samples from the Stampin' Up! 2008 Holiday Mini Catalog.  I received these card swaps at the MN Leader Stamp and Share meeting earlier this month.

Snowflake-unknown

I think this card was created by Shawn (though there wasn't a name on the card).  This is a great card for mass-producing your holiday cards.  It features the Snowflake #2 Die for the Sizzix Big Shot machine and the Scandinavian Season stamp set.

Peace-Pat

Another great card for mass-producing!  This one made by Pat.  She used several Big Shot dies:  Top Note, Birds and Blooms, and Join in the Cheer.

Tomorrow watch for Valentine's ideas from the Holiday Mini Catalog

Holiday Mini Samples from MN Leader Share

Here are a few more Stampin' Up! 2008 Holiday Mini Catalog card swaps from the MN Leader Stamp and Share meeting earlier this month.

Cardinal-Terri

This card was made by Terri Gaines using the Cardinal Christmas stamp set, the Top Note Die for the Big Shot and Crystal Effects.

Door-Virginia

This card was made by Virgina using the Home for Christmas stamp set.  You can't see it in the photo, but she used Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder which gives it the perfect glistening look!

Skaters-Susan

This card was created by Susan Campfield using the Winter Post stamp set.  You could easily mass produce this card for your holiday cards!

More swaps still coming!

2008 Holiday Mini Catalog Samples

Before I get to the 2008 Holiday Mini Catalog Samples...

About a year ago, I was fortunate enough to meet some wonderful fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators here in MN.  When I attended my first MN Leader Stamp & Share meeting (for Sr Supervisors and above), organized by Terri G - I felt like I found a group of women that I felt at home with!  They welcomed me into their group with open arms and I so appreciated that!  Thank you so much!

Every 6 months - I make it a point to attend this awesome meeting, which was just a couple of weeks ago.  I enjoyed fabulous displays, inspiring and creative presentations and just plain fun visiting with my newfound girlfriends!  In addition, I was invited to share a creative idea (I shared my September Stamp Camp "Cross the Border") as well as talk about my Founder's Circle experience with Georgia (who is Demonstrator of the Year #16).  It was kind of nice to "revisit" my FC trip - it was such a fabulous experience.

Of course you can't have an SU get-together without swapping.  So here are some of the swaps that I received.  Actually - the three I'm sharing today are the ones that were voted the "most favorite" by our group.    All cards feature stamp sets or accessories from the new 2008 Holiday Mini Catalog.

Holly-unknown

This card uses the "Cardinal Christmas" stamp set.  I don't know who the creator was - there wasn't any name with the card.  The white "holly" has glitter on it.

 Skaters-Lisa

This card was created by Lisa S.  She used the Winter Post stamp set and the fabulous Alpine Ribbon (I love both of these new products!)

Joy-Georgia

This card was created by Georgia G.  It uses the Deck the Halls stamp set and the Serif Essentials Alphabet Dies for the Big Shot.

I have a few more swaps that I'll be sharing, so check back soon!

DOstamperSTARS: Turkey and Cardinal Cards

Here are the last two swaps from my September DOstamperSTARS downline meeting.  I guess they are both "Bird" cards.

This one is Emily's.  She used my Turkey Punch Tutorial found here.  This is such a cute Scallop punched Turkey.  FYI - In the tutorial - I used the Spring Flowers punch (which is now retired).  Just substitute the Boho Blossom punch instead.

Emily's-Swap

Stamp set:  Holidays & Wishes

This was my swap card.  Tip:  I used sponge daubers to color the Cardinal.

My-Swap

Stamp sets:  Cardinal Christmas (in Holiday Mini Catalog) & Sanded background.

Next week I'll share DOstamperSTARS October's shoebox swap projects.  So watch for that!

New DOstamperSTAR and Gift Tags Make & Tag

Today I'll share one of the make & takes we did at last month's meeting.  But before I start with that, I would like to introduce one of my new DOstamperSTARS.  I had four people join my group recently.  One of them was able to make it to her first downline meeting (and she had only signed up days before the meeting).

Here is Kyra.  She actually found me through an online friend who had recommended me to her.  Thanks ROCHELLE - that was very nice of you to think of me!  Kyra is very sweet and will be a great addition to my team!  The other new demonstrators, Lynn, Ann and Cindy were unable to attend.  But I'd like to welcome them all to my team.

In fact - I've already completed their "Getting Started With Stampin' Up! Orientation" last week.  I really enjoyed getting to know them a little bit better.  I look forward to stamping and getting to know each of you even better!

Kyra

Here's is one of the make & takes we did...it's a little holiday gift tag set cleverly packaged in our small cello bag.

XmasGift-Tags
