Sep Stamp Camp Project - Crazy For Cupcakes

Here's another "Cross the Border" Stamp Camp Project.  This card was inspired by a couple of cards I found on Splitcoast.

I call this an "awning" card.  Use the Scallop Edge punch to create a acallop border on a piece of double sided Designer Series Paper.  Then fold-over the punched end to create an awning...CUTE!  The card also features the on -sale stamp set, Crazy for Cupcakes (see here for 20% sales details)

Sep Stamp Camp Project - The Fish!

Last month I had my "Cross the Border" stamp camp which featured different ways to use the Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge Punch.

ScallopPunch

This punch is traditionally used to create a scallop edge border, like the scallop edges shown on the fish card below.  However, there are some clever demonstrators out there that have discovered some out-of-the-box ways to use this fun punch.  I'll share my projects throughout the week.

Stamping Supplies:  On Your Birthday stamp set, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Basic Black Cardstock.  Coluzze, 1", 3/4", 1/4" Circle punches, Boho Blossom (for lips), Tangerine Tango Ribbon

Stay Tuned for another stamp camp project tomorrow!

Below is my swap card, which I would have never have completed without help from my downline.  I did a Big Shot class the night before I left for Founder's Circle of which several of my downline attended.  I put them to "work" on my swap cards and they gladly helped me out.  Thanks Jan, Gayle, Shari, Jessica (and Tammy too).  I have to thank my daughter Angie too, who did all of the background stamping.  All I had to do is add the ribbon, which I did on the flight to Las Vegas.

Here are my swaps before I left for the airport.

Scrappy Thursday - Family Mini Scrapbook

Wow - this has been a busy week.  All of my club classes fell in the same week.

For this month's Hedgehog Scrapbook Club project, members got to make this adorable mini album.  I based it off of the one I did at the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle event - see here.  But sized it down to use 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock instead of 12 x 12.

Cover

This scrapbook features one of Stampin' Up!'s new Designer Series Paper, Murfield #112466.  Coordinating Colors are Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss & Very Vanilla.  Along with the Hostess Level one stamp set - Live Like You Mean It, various punches and the new In-Color Ribbon (Pacific Point).

Family4

I just love this little mini scrapbook.  So quick and easy, but fun to open and reveal your family pictures!

Closeup

Here's a close up of the cover that features the Naturally Serif Alphabet Die (to be used with the Big Shot Sizzix machine).  I love this alphabet!  You get both upper and lower case.  So you'll never run out of your favorite letters in any color you desire!

Oct Technique #2 - Watercolor Pencils

The second Technique for this month's Hedgehog Stamping Club Members is:  Watercolor Pencils.

I designed this cute card using the Pretty Amazing stamp set #111006 for $20.95.  You won't find it in the current catalog, but it is still available to order.  You can view it on the Dormant List- see this stamp set and others that are still available.

Bird-Card

There is a great tutorial on Splitcoaststampers for Watercoloring with Watercolor Pencils.  It uses the AquaPainter vs. a Blender Pen (which was used on our technique card).  But the same steps apply.

Supplies: Pretty Amazing & Thank You Kindly stamp sets, Stazon Jet Black, Orchid Opulence, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen, Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain, Scallop Edge Punch.

Join us next month for more fun techniques!

Oct Technique #1 - Brayered Sky & Moonlighting

For this month's Hedgehog Stamping Club Technqiue Class, one of the Technique Cards was this beauty (if I say so myself)!  Ain't it gorgeous?  Even my husband offered an unsolicited remark (unheard of! LOL)

DeerCard

It's surprisingly easy to acheive.  It's actually two technique in one.

1) Moonlighting - which is masking off a moon or sun shape, then adding ink (with sponge or brayer).  Then remove your mask to reveal your moon.

2) Brayered Sky - using your brayer, cover your glossy cardstock with 3 different colors beginning with your lightest color which you cover your entire cardstock.  The second color, just add to 2/3rd of your cardstock, then only 1/3rd of your cardstock with the darkest color.

Supplies:  Nature Silhouettes, Inspired by Nature, Sincere Salutations stamp sets, Versamark, Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, Basic Gray and Glossy White Cardstock, Wide Oval punch, 1 3/8" circle punch (for moon mask), Mini Library clips, Natural Hemp Twine, Brayer

I love the way it turned out and so did my club members!

Join a stamping club and you too can do projects like these every month!

Enjoy~Dawn
