3rd Day of Christmas: Black Ice & Bleach Out
December 03, 2008
One of last month's Technique Tuesday class projects was this fun card. It has a lot of clever features, like the special fold. This is called a "Z" fold (as you can see by the picture).
The actual technique we used was Bleach Out. First you stamp and emboss an image, then use bleach to "paint" out the area you want to be white.
For this project, I wanted the embossing to be black, but also glittery. So I combined black embossing powder with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to create my own embossing powder, which I'm calling "Black Ice".
Here's a better look at the embossing
It's very pretty irl. I love the way it turned out and so did my club members.
Supplies used: To You & Yours stamp set, Kraft, Not Quite Navy, Confetti White, Baja Breeze Cardstocks, Versamark & Not Quite Navy Inks, Black EP, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Embossing Buddy, Powder Pals, Heat Tool, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Wide Oval Punch
Speaking of clubs, I'm forming clubs for next year right now. There are so many benefits/priviledges of joining a club: Free Catalogs, member-only classes, stamp camp discounts, special VIP events, etc. If you want more info - check it out here. If you're ready to join now - contact me at [email protected].
