5th Day of Christmas: Big Shot, Big on Christmas

I sure love using my Big Shot Die Cutting machine!  It's so much fun and makes papercrafting easy and fast!

This card would have been cute without the snowflake, but now it's super cute with the addition of the Big Shot Snowflakes #2 Original Die (#113460 for $15.95).

Nov-TT-Bonus

This project also features the adorable Frosty Day Designer Series Paper (#113057 for $9.95) from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

4th Day of Christmas: Winter Post & Cracked Glass

When I first saw the Winter Post stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog...I knew that I wanted to try the Cracked Glass technique with it.  This is such a cool technique.

Cracked-Glass-CU

Directions:

Stamp your image on cardstock, then cover the who piece with Versamark Ink.  Heat emboss with Glassy Glaze Enamel (#1004177 for $4.75).  When cooled, cover again with Veramark and Enamel, and heat.  Do this for a total of 3 layers.  Put in freezer to cool (5 minutes).  Then bend cardstock to create cracks.

Cracked-Glass-Sample

Supplies used:  Winter Post stamp set, Ruby Red & Chocolate Chip Cardstock and Ink, Very Vanilla & Kraft Cardstock, Basic Brown Ink and Versamark Ink.  Glassy Glaze Enamel, Powder Pals, Heat Tool, Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon.

3rd Day of Christmas: Black Ice & Bleach Out

One of last month's Technique Tuesday class projects was this fun card.  It has a lot of clever features, like the special fold.  This is called a "Z" fold (as you can see by the picture).

Bleach-Sample

The actual technique we used was Bleach Out.  First you stamp and emboss an image, then use bleach to "paint" out the area you want to be white.

For this project, I wanted the embossing to be black, but also glittery.  So I combined black embossing powder with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to create my own embossing powder, which I'm calling "Black Ice".

Here's a better look at the embossing

Black-Ice-CU

It's very pretty irl.  I love the way it turned out and so did my club members.

Supplies used:  To You & Yours stamp set, Kraft, Not Quite Navy, Confetti White, Baja Breeze Cardstocks, Versamark & Not Quite Navy Inks, Black EP, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Embossing Buddy, Powder Pals, Heat Tool, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Wide Oval Punch

Speaking of clubs, I'm forming clubs for next year right now.  There are so many benefits/priviledges of joining a club:  Free Catalogs, member-only classes, stamp camp discounts, special VIP events, etc.  If you want more info - check it out here.  If you're ready to join now - contact me at [email protected].

2nd Day of Christmas: Big Shot Santa & Instructions

If you've attended any of my Holiday Stampin' Up! Parties, then you've made this project.  The Big Shot Santa!  He's just adorable!

Santa

This project was shared by Shelli Gardner, Co-Founder & CEO of Stampin' Up! at the Stampin' Up! convention in July.  Yes - that's right...even Shelli stamps!

Well actually, with the exception of some punches...this Santa is made entirely with the Big Shot.  It uses the Pennant Die, Join the Cheer Die, and Scallop #2 Die (which has two sizes of scallop shapes which I'll refer to as large and small)

Here are the Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut the Red hat with the Pennant Die (small pennant)
  • Cut one Blush Face with the Scallop #2 (the large scallop)
  • Cut 6 White small scallops with the Scallop #2 (5 beard, 1 hat)
  • Cut "JOY" with the Join the Cheer Die
  • Punch 1" White for Eyes
  • Punch 1/2" Black for Eyes
  • Add White Gel Pen to the Eyes
  • Punch 1-1/4" for Nose (attach with Dimensionals)
