Simple Friendship: Gradation Technique

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is our monthly Stampin' Success magazine.  It's filled with tons of creative and business ideas.  I refer to it often for inspiration and technique ideas.  In fact, the Gradation Technique was featured in a recent magazine.

Another perk of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is the opportunities to receive FREE STAMP SETS - Woohoo!  For this technique card, I used the new Simple Friendship stamp set that I received at my Founder's Circle Trip!  Don't you just love the butterfly from this stamp set?

Here is the 3rd project we did at my Technique Tuesday class this month.  It features the gradation technique.  For the other projects we made see here:  Project #1-Heart Basket, Project #2-Accordion Card

Gradation Technique Instructions:  Using markers, color a solid image with two colors.  For the butterfly we used Orchid Opulence in the middle and Rose Red on the left & right.  Then use a sponge dauber and blend the two colors only where they meet.

Supplies used:  Simple Friendship stamp set, Orchid Opulence & Rose Red markers, ink & cardstock,  Whisper White Cardstock, Raspberry Tart Designer Paper, Spiral punch, Rose Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Paper Snips & Stampin' Dimensionals.

Join me for my next Technique Tuesday classes:

Dates/Times:  Tuesday, March 3rd, open house style 4:30-9:00pm  OR  Wednesday, March 4th, open house style 6:30-9:00pm  (plan to stay 1.5 hrs)

Fee:  $15.00 (Stamping Club Members and DOstamperSTARS only $5.00)

Sale-A-Bration: Botanical Blooms Thanks!

I just know you're gonna love this card!  I received many compliments on it at Leadership.  It was one of the cards I made for the Leadership Display Boards.  When I first received this set...I wasn't sure how I would like it.  But now I love it!  Here's my favorite card of the bunch...

Isn't it beautiful?  I've always been a fan of pink and black!  FYI - each flower has two layers!

Supplies used:  Botanical Blooms, Thank You Kindly, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White & Basic Black Cardstock, Bella Rose DSP, Pink Pirouette & Riding Hood Red Refills, Kiwi Kiss & Jet Black Stazon Ink, Paper Snips, Stampin' Dimensionals, Aquapainter, Pink Pirouette Striped Ribbon

Petal Card Valentine Basket

This was one of my customers favorite project from my Technique Tuesday class this month for my Stamping Club members.  Just use your Big Shot Sizzix Die Cutting machine and the Petal Card Die to make this adorable Heart Basket.

Cut two Pretty in Pink cardstock Petal Cards and only fold up two sides to form the heart.  Attach those to a 1-1/4 by 5-1/4 piece folded in half.

I used the Designer Label punch (with Regal Rose Cardstock) to attach the Certainly Celerty ribbon to each side.

The heart and flower images are from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Polka Dot Punches and stamped in  using Regal Rose Ink.   The flower was punched with the 5 Petal Flower Punch.

Sale-A-Bration: PMS Stamp Camp, Full Heart

Are you looking for something FUN to do next Friday or Sat (Feb 20/21st)?

If so - join me for my MOST POPULAR stamp camp.  It's a fun night of Pizza, Music & Stamping!  Make 10 cards, two of 5 designs.  Only $25.00 (includes Pizza).  Just a couple spots left at each session:  Friday, Feb 20th 6:30pm OR Saturday, Feb 21st 3:00pm

Here's a peak at one of the cards we'll be making.   This card is simple and clean (my favorite style).  But it packs a punch!  Ha - literally!  It uses the new Full Heart punch.  Which matches the heart image from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set "Polka Dot Punches"!  Which is free when you purchase $50 or more during Feb/Mar.

Isn't it beautiful?  It would be great for Valentines Day, Wedding or Anniversary.

Contact me by Monday to register for this fun stamp camp!  You won't want to miss it!

DOstamperSTARS Demonstrations: Yummy, Botanical Blooms, Petal Pizzazz

I like to give my demonstrators an opportunity to demonstrate/share at our monthly team meetings.  I always learn something new.  This time was no different.

First up was Gayle.  She's been a demonstrator for 10 months and brings a sense of fun to our meetings.  She put together a display of sample cards which were all the same design, but different color combinations.  This was a great reminder about using the Stampin' Up! idea book for samples too!  Just change the color!

Here's Gayle's original card: (Petal Pizaazz, Polka Dot Background, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip colors, Ticket Corner, Scallop & Scallop Edge punches)

Here's Gayle with her display!

Next up was Pixie.  She's been a demonstrator just a little over 2 years, but has been stamping forever!  She discovered a cool way to turn the Big Shot Pillow Die into a heart.   Here's a link to it on Splitcoaststampers:

Here's her project: (Big Shot, Pillow Box Die, Sale-A-Bration set "Yummy", Real Red, Basic Black, White Gel Pen, Sticky Strip)

Last up was Jan.  She's been a demonstrator for 15 months, but has be a stamper for many years!  She demonstrated the Wax Paper Resist technique (iron and all)!  I didn't get a picture of Jan, but here is her project featuring the technique in the background.

Supplies (Sale-a-Bration Stamp "Botanical Blooms, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Pixie Pink, 1" 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Brayer, Wax Paper, Iron)

Thanks Gayle, Pixie and Jan...Great demonstrations!
