Welcome to Day #2 of DOdesigner Shari Nelson's creations.  Today I'm sharing her 12x12 Scrapbook Page and her adorable 3-D project.

 

 

I love this box idea.  It "explodes" when you open it.  You could fill it with a prize for the winner of your game night!

 

All projects used the Game Night stamp set and Jackpot DSP with coordinating colors:  Basic Black, So Saffron, Real Red & Whisper White, and Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

DOdesign Team: Introducing Shari and Game Night (Day #1)

Today I'm introducing the last DOdesigner Shari Nelson & Game Night   

Here's a little bit about Shari.  She was my second recruit.  I met her at a party I was doing for a neighbor.  She booked a party and soon after became a demonstrator.  Shari is a quilter and home schooled her kids for many years.  I believe her education is in accounting (hmm...I seem to attract accountants.  I wonder why?)  Her daughter is married and has Shari's first grandson, now a year old.  I've always enjoyed Shari's cards and felt she would do a fabulous job creating display samples.  I'm so glad she agreed to do it.   

 

 

I can't decide if the one above or the one below is my favorite.  Which would do you like?

Sale-A-Bration: Botanical Blooms in Burgundy

Here's a couple of my Leadership Display Samples with the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Botanical Blooms.  The DSP is Parisian Summer (now retired - boo hoo...it was a beautiful paper pack).   I thought the Blooms flower matched this paper well.  It would look great with the current Specialty Designer Paper - Parisian Breeze!

 

I love the look of the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware turned sideways.  I traded out the vanilla brads for silver for more contrast.  Such a cool look!

  

Supplies used:  Botanical Blooms (Sale-A-Bration), Short & Sweet stamp sets, Bravo Burgundy, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla & Pretty in Pink cardstock &/or ink, 1 1/4" Circle & Designer Label punches and Bravo Burgundy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.

Round 2, Big Shot Classes: Top Note, Bird & Scallop Envelope

This past fall I did my first round of Big Shot classes.  They consist of 4 classes - one a month.  The beauty of these classes is, you can start them at any time!  If you start with class #3, then you'll take #4, then #1 & 2.  The objective for completing the classes is that you are more comfortable with the Big Shot machine and have had a chance to most of the different types of dies.

Last week I started my second round of classes for the Big Shot.  I actually had one gal sign up to take all four classes again!  The projects will be different each round due to new products and seasonal projects. 

Class #1 will always focus on the Stampin' Up! Top Note and Scallop Envelope dies.  These are fabulous dies and have a variety of uses that make them a must have!

 

 

Isn't this Top Note Bag gorgeous?  Here's some tips: 

• Cut two Top Note Dies and attached them to a cut down mini paper bag. 
• Extra Large Oval punch was used to punch out handles.  
• Heart image from the FREE Sale-A-Bration "Polka Dot Punches" set was stamped and punched with the Full Heart punch.  
• Greeting is from the FREE "Yummy" Sale-A-Bration stamp set.   
• Ribbon is the beautifully soft Organza Ribbon! 
• Colors are Whisper White and Sahara Sand 

   

This is an envelope pouch with 3 Scalloped Envelopes/Gift Cards.  Just cut out your 3 scallop envelopes with the Big Shot, using Designer Paper and Scallop Envelope Die (be sure to use the crease pad with this die).  The DSP is the super cute Delicate Dots, FREEif you place a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration (Feb 1-Mar 31).  Each mini envelope has a gift enclosure card in them.  The pouch is made from a medium envelope sealed and cut in half, border punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  The ribbon is also a FREE Sale-a-Bration choice!

   

I've been wanting to use this bird die as "Love Birds" and when I saw a card on Kay's blog (a fellow demonstrator) - I was inspired.  Again I used the Organza Ribbon (love, love, love this ribbon)!  Plus a couple of punches: Heart to Heart and the Eyelet Border.  The birds are from the Birds and Blooms Sizzlet 4 pack.  This die comes with the Big Shot starter kit or can be purchased separately.  The greeting on this card is from the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set "Congrats".

Newly Released: Stampin' Up! Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die

I'm thrilled to announce this fun new Big Shot Die!  It's the Stampin' Up! Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die.  It's designed to match our Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp set.  This embossing folder die creates an elegant, embossed card front image.

 

Here's a couple of cards that features the die.  The one of the left has Chocolate Glitter (from the new Fine Supernova glitter stack) added to the raised embossed image.

The cardstock is Bronze Metallic from the "Taste of Textiles" Specialty Paper Pack.  You receive 10 sheets, 2 of 5 designs (in 12x12 size).  Printed Vellum with Not Quite Navy Polka Dots, Coated White Pin Stripe, Black Linen Texture, Bronze Metallic and Close to Cocoa Pin Stripes on Kraft (#113991 for $9.95).
