Stampin' Up! Convention: Build a Bear!!

Woohoo - what a fun day today at the 2009 Stampin' Up! Convention.  Great general session with Brent Steele demonstrating the new MY DIGITAL STUDIO (to be available this fall).  Very exciting!  Now only will it do scrapbook pages, but it will do greeting cards and calendars.  YEAH!

A fun new product coming out in the Holiday Mini catalog (September 1st), is a line of Build-a-Bear products.  Stamp sets, Designer Series Paper and Big Shot Dies!  So adorable.

PLUS today only...anyone attending convention was able to purchase a "Stampin' Up! Build-a-Bear".

Stampin' Up! Convention - Woohoo!

Hey - I'm just checking in.  I've been busy at the Stampin' Up! 2009 annual convention!  So here's a quick update for you. 

Many of my customers and downline have been wishing me luck the past couple of weeks.  Well, your good luck wishes and support of my business have paid off.  Thank You, Thank You!

Drum roll please....I did make Founders Circle 2009 again this year!!!!  I'm so excited.  We're heading off to awards night and I'll find out more then.

DOstamperSTARS Swaps - Circle Circus

I had my monthly DOstamperSTARS meeting on Saturday and a GREAT time was had by all.  It was so much fun seeing everyone.  The sharing was awesome at this meeting.  We had a potluck and a couple of make & takes, a fun catalog hunt game and more.  We ended with a shoebox swap - which is always a favorite!

I guess the "IN" stamp set to have is the Circle Circus.  I don't own it yet, but after this weekend, it did get added to my wish list.  Here are a few of the swap cards made with it.

Brayed Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

What a mouthful...Try to say that 3 times fast! 

This fun and EASY technique was another project we did at my Technique Tuesday Class last week.

Just brayer ink (lots of it) onto your Embossing Folder, then run it through Big Shot as normal.  You'll love the stunning results!

Here's a close up of the Stampin' Up! Thanks Embosslit.  Cuts and embosses at the same time.  For this "medallion", I cut two.  One in white and one is Rich Razzleberry.  Use a sponge dauber to add ink (or chalk) to the raised "thanks" to help it stand out better.  I layered it with the square scallop punch. 

Supplies:  Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and Ink, Whisper White, Brayer #102395, Sponge Dauber #102892, Big Shot Die Cutting Machine #113439, Finial Press Embossing Folder #115963, Thanks Embosslit #115957, Scallop Square Punch, Silver Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Tri-Fold Shutter Card & Party Hearty

As promised, here are the dimensions and more pictures for the Tri-Fold Shutter Card we did last week at my Technique Tuesday class.  I'm lovin' the Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper!!!

Supplies:  Party Hearty & Birthday Wish stamp set (on dormant list), Bermuda Bay Cardstock, Ink and Ribbon, Melon Mambo Cardstock and Ink, Whisper White Cardstock, Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper, 3/4" & 1" Circle Punches, Paper Trimmer w/Scoring Blade and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Tri-Fold Shutter Card Measurements:

1.  Cut cardstock to 10-1/2" x 5-1/2"
2.  In landscape - score each end 1-3/4" & 3-1/2"
3.  Turn and CUT at the 1-1/2" mark from the first scored mark to the last scored mark.  Do the same on the other side.
4.  Fold and decorate!
