Tour De Freaks September Blog Hop Tour!

Welcome to the September Tour de Freak tour which officially starts September 20th!  We are so excited that you have joined us today on our fourth Blog Tour.  This month we are featuring fall themed projects.

Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers.  I'm stop #9, but you may have come here by way of Mary Brown's blog.  If so, welcome!  At the end of my post you will be directed to the next stop so make sure to keep on reading and don’t forget to click through to Shona Watson's blog (stop #10).

Sit back, relax and enjoy the tour!

First up is some table setting items using Stampin' Up!'s Table Setting Die for the Big Shot.  This die will cut a tag, napkin holder, 2 leaves, hinge and place card.  In addition, there is a swirl/coil shape that can be used to create a rose or pinecone.  Below I used the pinecone as an embellshment on a basket as well a wine glass marker.   I love the way the wine glass marker turned out!

To create the "pine needles", I used the the 2 die cut leaves and cut them into thin strips.  I love the way they look!

For the basket, I cut strips of the new Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper (for the Holiday Mini Catalog).  Then weaved them in and out of the basket. They are not adhere anywhere on the basket.  So when I get tired of the look, I can just change it out for each season.

The next card is my favorite!!!  It features a beautiful technique called "Herringbone", which uses strips of the same Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper.  I just love the way this card turned out and will be teaching this technique next month.

I  hope you enjoyed this stop on the Tour De Freaks Tour.  We look forward to seeing you again on October 20th for our next Tour de Freaks Blog Tour!

Founder's Circle 2009: Gathering Place

One of the things we get to do at Founder's Circle is...nothing!  And we get to do it in the Gathering Place!  With this year's theme, they set up the room like a back porch setting.  Here are some views of the decor and CANDY (which is everywhere!)

Founder's Circle 2009: Welcome Dinner

I love walking into the room for the Welcome Dinner.  The table decor is always beautiful and perfectly done.  This year was no exception.  Add old and new friends, then wonderful food, and it makes for the perfect end to a perfect day!

(FYI - the "charger" plate is actually the bottom of a clay planter pot.  How clever!  My friend Jayna who works in the event industry will love this idea!)

Founder's Circle 2009 - It begins!

The annual Founder's Circle trip is such a dream come true trip.  You work hard all year and if you're lucky enough - you get to be honored as one of Stampin' Up!'s Top 100 demonstrators and invited for 5-days of pampering!  Well - I was lucky enough to go again this year.

Door

I love all of the personal touches.  This decor element greets us on our hotel room door.  Yes - our very own room.  It's such a treat to have a room all to yourself!

Mixer

Then off to the hospitality room for a "mixer" game (the butterfly net and butterflies). Plus - to pick up our Founder's Circle yearbook.  When you finish your mixer game, we are given...what else but a stamp set!

Garden from the Heart stamp set...new in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  To be released Jan 2010.  So cute!!
