Stampin' Up! 2009 Holiday Mini Catalog: Delightful Decorations & Founder's Circle

Phew - I finished my 125 swaps for Founder's Circle...Yeah!!

I'm really liking the new 2009 Holiday Mini Catalog.  This card showcases a lot of new Holiday Mini products.  The Delightful Decorations & Four the Holidays stamp sets.  The matching ornament punch - YEAH!... it also has a matching Window Die for the Mover & Shaper Die for the Big Shot machine, called Holiday Windows.  Even the ribbon is from the Holiday mini (called Mistletoe).

Holiday Windows (#116821, $29.95) comes with 4 die images:  Ornament, Dove, Circle (to layer under our 1-3/4" punch) and a decorative Square Shape.

Here's my swap card:

Stampin' Up!: Happy Together stamp set

Here's an adorable card made with my new Stampin' Up! stamp set, Happy Together!  In fact, I received this stamp set as an award for my recruiting efforts last year.  It was on my wish list anyways, so I was excited that I got it for free!  Just another demonstrator perk!

I took my color combo from the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper - Crushed Curry & Pumpkin Pie.

Happy-Bird

It's such a cheery card.  Don't you just wanna smile?  I made a dozen of these to keep on hand for upcoming birthdays!  Who knows, maybe you'll get one.

Supplies:  Happy Together, Crushed Curry & Pumpkin Pie cardstock and Ink, Whisper White cardstock, Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper #115675, Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon 115614, 1-1/4" Circle, 1-3/8" Circle, Scallop Circle punches, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Stampin' Dimensionals.

The Happy Halloween greeting is from the "House of Haunts" stamp set.  The rest of the spooky images are "From the Crypt". The Designer Series Paper is "Cast-a-Spell", which coordinates with Basic Black, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.

Tri-Fold Shutter card cutting and scoring directions can be found HERE.

Here's a look at all of the projects Pixie designed:

Candle

Isn't the candle spooky?  She used the Spooky Treats Rub-Ons for a quick and easy candle transformation.  Plus the addition of black aquarium rock makes for a great spooky presentation!

Matchbook

Love the Curly Label punch window in the matchbook candy box!

Stop by tomorrow for Pixie's final project.

DOdesign Team: Introducing Pixie & From the Crypt

You might have noticed that Stampin' Up! is featuring several "Collections" in their 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.  I invited one of my DOstamperSTARS to join my DOdesign Team to design some projects using her favorite collection, the "Halloween Collection".  She accepted and created some fabulous samples using the "From The Crypt" stamp set (#115460, $22.95).  I'll be sharing them with you over the next few days.

First off, let me introduce you to...Pixie Elletson.

Pixie1

Pixie joined my group a couple of years ago.  She was my 1st level-2 downline.  She joined as a hobby demonstrator.  Though, she just signed up her first two recruits last month!

Pixie has been a great addition to my group.  She always has a smile on her face and is so much fun to be around. She's very generous and has a kind heart.  She is one of my DOstamperSUPERSTARS and is the first to earn my current DOstamperSUPERSTAR incentive.  I really enjoy her being on my team!

On to her projects...I asked her to design two cards.  One fairly basic card (easy to duplicate/demonstrate) and another card featuring a stamping technique.

Card

Above is the demonstratable card and below is the technique card, featuring the rock & roll technique on the spiders.  Plus she added a little "Pixie dust" (Dazzling Diamonds glitter).

SpiderCard

SpiderCard-CU

This was her favorite card and I'd have to say, it turned out GREAT!

Supplies:  From the Crypt, Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, Old Olive, Perfect Plum, Whisper White & Pumpkin Pie cardstock, Old Olive, Basic Black Ink, Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant & Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Earth Elements Buttons, Word Window and Modern Label Punches, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

Stop back again for her 3-D projects.  You're gonna love 'em!

Enjoy~Dawn O

2009 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini: Ornament Punch & Holiday Best

I'm just lovin' Stampin' Up!'s new Ornament Punch (from the 2009 Holiday Mini Catalog)!  When it came out, one of the first things I thought of using it with was the Level One Hostess stamp set, Holiday Best.  I know that seems odd, but I really liked the Merry Christmas bird image and didn't relish the thought of cutting it out.  Well, I gave it a try.  Voila, it fits perfectly!

MerryChristmasBird

Isn't it gorgeous, (if I do say so myself)!

This card features two techniques:

1) Faux Diamond Dust:  I colored the "Merry Christmas Bird" image with Real Red & Old Olive markers.  Then covered the entire image with Versamark.  Heat emboss with Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder.  Then punch with Ornament punch (#116794, $15.95).

2) Foil Paper Resist:  Brayer Old Olive ink over the Bridal Speciality Paper (#115669, $13.95 for 5 of 2 designs).  The foil design will resist the ink.  Wipe off with a tissue.

Autumn Splendor: Favorite Swap

This is a beyond gorgeous card I received from the Control Freaks 2009 Holiday Mini Catalog swap.  Mary Beth Brown created this awesome card using the new stamp set, Autumn Splendor and new Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper.  I'm not sure my pictures do it justice.  Have a look.
