Valentine Box Made With Big Shot Movers & Shapers Die

Woohoo! Today I finally got a chance to edit my video on the Valentine Box I shared on the Controlfreaks Blog Tour last month.  I made it with Stampin' Up!'s Big Shot Movers & Shapers Box.  This handmade box is SO quick and easy, you'll totally amaze yourself and your friends!

My Big Shot Club Members enjoyed making this Movers & Shapers Box at last month's class too.  For those who received your projects as a TO GO option, be sure to watch the video for tips for assembling your box.

Dawn's Stamping Tips:
In the video, I use a 6" x 12" piece of cardstock, but you can start with a 4-1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock and get the same results.

No Cutting Pads? No Problem...Dr Seuss to the Rescue

Hmm...ever have one of THOSE days?  I seem to be having them more and more often lately.  Which means I find myself REALLY having to think outside the box, a LOT!

Case in point:

What do you do when you've planned a super cute make & take project using the Big Shot & a Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, AND you forget your cutting pads at home?

Well - after several tries of Tab 1, Tab 2, no tabs, and some creative "shims"...Dr Suess comes to the rescue!  Specifically, The Foot Book!  Check this out...

Just insert the Embossing Folder between the pages of your favorite Dr Seuss book (actually - use your not-so-favorite book) and voila!  FYI - Golden Books don't work (trust me)!

 

Luckily my hostess, Kim has a great sense of humor.  It certainly made for an entertaining party! 

OK - now that I have humbled myself before the online world.  I can't be the only one who forgets things at home (I'm not, am I?)  Make me feel better and share your stories of crafting ingenuity!
