Grads & Dads: Motorcycle and Bargello Technique
June 11, 2010
Stampin' Up! shared an awesome paper technique in our demonstrator magazine (Stampin' Success) last month. I make it a point to take at least one creative or business idea from each magazine and incorporate it into my business. Love that Stampin' Up! provides TONS of ideas/tips for us demonstrators in running our businesses!
The technique was called Bargello. Which is an embroidery technique that uses long stitches to create patterns. But of course, we use paper to replicate the technique. I was instantly drawn to the technique and had a TON of fun playing with it. We did it at my Technique Tuesday class this month and everyone loved it!
You need striped paper for this technique - which is always one of my favorite patterns anyways. So dig out your scraps and watch the BARGELLO video below for 3-4 different ways you can use your striped Designer Series Paper for some amazingly fun and cool looking patterns.
If you are unable to watch in your email subscription, then click on Paper Bargello Technique to watch on YouTube. (I was having a little bit of trouble doing this video, so be kind - thanks!)
