Guest Designer: Ann Truenow & Because I Care

Today I'd like to introduce you to one of my DOstamperSTARS, Ann Truenow. She is a Supervisor from Kimball, MN (Just east of St. Cloud). Ann celebrated her Stampin' Up! two year anniversary this past spring and her business is booming.
Here's how Ann got started as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Ann was looking for fundraising opportunities and contacted me to see if I would be willing to do a Stampin' Up! fundraiser. Of course I would. So we met at a coffee shop to discuss how it would. She brought her sister with - who was going to participate in the fundraiser too. As we started to discuss the logistics, her sister mentioned that maybe Ann should become a demonstrator. Ah - duh, Dawn!! I mean - of course she should! Ann had done several parties with me before and she would be great. What was I thinking, not offering her the opportunity! Shame on me!
Sometimes we get so caught up in the routine of doing things, we just plain forget. So if you are just like Ann (or have a sister like Ann's), you too should sign up to join. Talk to your demonstrator (or me) and start having fun now!
On to Ann's cards from our last DOstamperSTARS Shoebox Swap & Pizza Party:
Shoebox Swap Card - for this card, Ann had us using the THUMPING technique.
Directions: Ink your stamp up in the lighter color, Marina Mist. Then use the Concord Crush Stampin' Write marker and "thump" (bounce) color onto your stamp. Then stamp onto your cardstock. Fun technique - thanks Ann!
This is Ann's "Leader Swap" card. Because Ann is one of my Leaders, she participates in my leadership swap too! These cards are "step-it-up" cards. A few more layers, maybe a special embellishment, etc.
