SSC038: Upsy Daisy Color Challenge
March 03, 2011
Today's DOstamperSTARS Thursday "Color My World" Challenge was a doosey for me. We're to use the color combo Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait and Pacific Point. The combo is a bit on the bright side for my tastes. So it definitely was a challenge.
I decided to bring out a stamp set I haven't used in awhile...Stampin' Up!'s Upsy Daisy! It's a great stamp set for beginners and experienced stampers alike.
You may have noticed that the flowers look a little "soft". I thought they seemed too bright. So I stamped and embossed the greeting on vellum, to use as an overlay. Hmm...it may have toned it down too much. Oh well.
Also - if you look even closer, you'll notice something going on with the flowers. Do you know what I did? There's a hint in my supply list. Leave a comment if you know what I did or if you want to take a guess.
3/5/11 eta: See "Tool Stamping Technique" for a quick tip on how-to create the "striped" look
