Video: Plaid Stamping with Stampin' Up! Ornate Blossom

In just minutes - transform your ordinary solid image rubberstamps into "PLAID" stamped images. Everyone has time for this fun and easy stamping technique called Plaid Stamping!  Grab yourself a solid image stamp and 3 colors of ink and you're ready to go!  I'm using the FREE optional Sale-a-Bration choice Ornate Blossom from Stampin' Up! and Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait and Melon Mambo inks.

 

Dawns Stamping Tips for Plaid Stamping Technique

1.  Choose a solid image stamp (like Ornate Blossom)
2.  Choose three ink colors...light, medium and dark colors that coordinate 
3.  Ink stamp in light color
4.  Holding medium color inkpad at a 45 degree angle...tap edge of ink pad across your stamp at 1/2" intervals 
5.  Turn your stamp 90 degrees and repeat step four using the dark color inkpad.  
6.  Stamp onto your cardstock and enjoy!

It's another DOstamperSTARS Challenge Thursday.  This week's we have a Musical Mania featuring the Irving Berlin musical Easter Parade.

I took inspiration from the "scallop" edge and flower on her hat.  This card features several Big Shot die...Scallop Circle (#113468), Clear Circle (#114533) and Fun Flowers (#121812).  I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  What do you think?
