Punch Art: Bowling Party Invitations
March 21, 2011
My grandson Max is turning four next month and he's having a bowling party. Of course, I get to make the invitations. I wanted to do a bowling bag design with a bowling ball & pins. So Big Shot and Punch Art to the rescue!!
In fact, what saved the day was the two NEW Big Shot Dies from the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog. They measure 3-1/2" and 3". Perfect for a bowling ball. The bowling pins took a little more work, but I'm satisfied with the results.
My daughter, Angie and I made the invitations this weekend and they turned out great! Take a look...
Bowling Bag Card Shape:
4-1/4" x 9-1/2" (score at 4" & 8") - Real Red
Fold, then measure in 1/4" from each side on the top fold and trim off diagonally to the bottom folded edge
Bag Handle:
1-3/4" (#119850) Circle Punch (punch 1st)

Use paper snips to trim off about 1/4" flat off the bottom, and to "curve" in the sides a little.

The Star uses the Extra Large Star Punch (#119875) and the small star (now retired)
You're Invited is printed from my computer and punched with the 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval Punch (#119855)
