Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Sneak Peak from the Controlfreaks

Freakwelcome

Welcome to the Control Freaks August 2011 Tour (officially starts August 20th). We are thrilled to have you join us today. Our tour is nice and short, and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers, sharing projects made with Stampin' Up! products. In fact, if you started in the middle of the tour, you may have just come from fellow freaker and friend Barb Mullikin blog.

Our theme for this month is:  Stampin' Up! 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog Sneak Peaks

When I first saw the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog, I totally fell in love with the Spice Cake Collection.  I'm a "Autumn" kind of gal anyways - so that would make sense.  Stampin' Up! did a great job with this collection.  Giving the color combo an updated twist by adding a blue tone - Pool Party, Soft Suede, More Mustard, Peasr Pizzazz, River Rock and Very Vanilla.  Having said that - I used Baja Breeze for the blue in my projects today.  Not sure why, I just kinda grab it.  But guess what - it works!

I'm starting with an "It's a Wrap Holidays" card.  This stamp set was designed to fit on 1" x 2-5/8" size labels.  However, I stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock to create my own "labels" for this card.

The "ribbon" is actually the Spice Cake Designer Fabric "ripped" in a 1" strip.  LOVE IT!!

My next project features another new product coming September 1st - Kraft Gift Box.  Four boxes for only $2.95 - it's a heck of a deal!!  I can see so many things fitting into these boxes.  They're sized 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 x 2-1/2.

I decorated it with Spice Cake Designer Series Paper, Designer Fabric and a Designer Button!  Here's a close up...
