Big Shot: Stampin' Up! Holiday Stocking Card
October 12, 2011
Oh my gosh- I'm already starting with the Christmas cards. I hope it's not too soon! Here's a super easy card to make with Stampin' Up!'s new Holiday Stocking & Stocking Accent Dies for the Big Shot.
Turn a die cut into a folded card...Placement on the die is the trick for this card. Place the folded edge of a 12x6 piece of Whisper White cardstock (folded in half) at the top of the die, just below the edge of the stocking shape. Then cut with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. That way you preserve the folded edge for your card.
Note: this will not fit into a regular size envelope, but will make a perfect addition to any wrapped present sitting under your tree!
I used contents from the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit which you can find in the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog. This is such an adorable kit and it's not just for scrapbooking, but for card making too! Kit includes: (2) 12x12 sheets each of Cherry Cobbler, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede & Early Espresso (total of 8), (3) sheets each of two patterns of double-sided Designer Series Paper (total of 6), (2) 12x12 sheets of self-adhesive die cuts.
