Stampin' Up! Lovely As a Tree Shadow Background Holiday Card

You can't go wrong with a Holiday Card using Stampin' Up!'s Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  Plus, create a quick shadow background using Stampin' Up!'s Clear Block H and you'll be cranking out these cards in no time at all.

This card is a case of Amanda Mertz's card.  The layout is the same, but I used different colors.  I loved the way she used a Clear Block Shadow Background she to create a "frame" for the trees.  I stamped the shadow block with Pool Party Classic Ink and the trees image is stamped with Island Indigo Classic Ink.

 

Dawn's Snowflake Die Cutting Tip:
I was having a little trouble die cutting the Silver Glimmer Paper Snowflake.  It wasn't cutting all the way through very nicely.  So I peeled off a layer of paper from the backside of the Silver Glimmer Paper, then die cut it.  It worked like a charm!

 

Here's the exact same card using the exact same supplies with the exception of the card base.  I couldn't decide which one I like the best.  Which one do you like the best...Pool Party or Sahara Sand?

Most Adorable Holiday 6-Panel Mini Milk Carton Box Video

At the Stampin' Up! Annual Convention in July, Brian Pilling demonstrated how to transform the Stampin' Up! Mini Milk Carton Die into a 6-Panel Mini Milk Carton Box!  I finally got around to making one.  Wow - I can't believe I waited so long.  These are super CUTE!

I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the pinecone image from the Holiday Mini Catalog stamp set, Pines and Poinsettias.  Then added a touch of the new Dazzling Details to the berries (think glitter glue).

Control Freaks are Keeping it Simple!

Welcome to the Control Freaks November 2011 Tour (officially starts November 20th). We are thrilled to have you join us today. First up is actually a KISSS card.  Keep it Super Simple Stamper!  A one layer card that is perfect for mass producing your holiday cards.  Just grab a Stampin' Up! snowflake set, a beautiful greeting, some glue and glitter, and you'll be ready to go!

My next card is a great example of a KISS card.  Despite it's four layers, this clean and simple card uses only one sheet of cardstock...amazing!  You can leave it clean and elegant or add some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for a fresh fallen snow look.  

 I had a hard time capturing the beauty of these cards.  In real life - they are breathtakingly beautiful!
