Clean & Simple Valentine with Delightful Dozen!

With today's clean and simple Valentine's Day card, you could ask everyone to be your valentine this year! 

This was one of the cards we did at my December "Just Cards" Buffet Class which will carry-over to the January 31st Class (sign up here).  It features a perfectly named stamp set called Delightful Dozen.  I'm really liking this delightful Stampin' Up! stamp set and my Loyalty Rewards earners are lovin' it too.  As this is one of their favorite choices when they earn a free stamp set!

eta 1/12/2012:  This card also features the Extreme Elements stamp set, which was used to create the "ink spot".

Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini: "Sweet Cake" & "Fashionable Hearts" Just Go Together!

Oh my gosh - I love today's card using the new Sweet Cake stamp set from the Stampin' Up! 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog.  This set comes with four images - the main cupcake image and three greetings. 

Plus - check out the small embossed heart...that's new too.  It's a new embosslit for the Big Shot called Fashionable Hearts.  It cuts and embosses 5 sizes of hearts.  For those of you who love the Beautiful Wings embosslit, you're gonna love this one too.  It's a must have!

This was my Control Freaks swap card.  Isn't this bright, cheerful and FUN?!  A great card for kids and adults alike!

Dawn's Stamping Tips (for making the focal point):

1.  Stamp the entire image with Pool Party onto Whisper White, then cut out
2.  Color the cherry stem with Old Olive marker. (Just color right over the pool party color)
3.  Stamp the greeting with Poppy Parade in the "greeting box" (I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig)
4.  Next, ink just the cupcake part of the stamp with Delightful Daffodil and Poppy Parade markers,  Stamp onto Whisper White scrap and cut out.
5.  Add Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the frosting with a 2-Way Glue Pen
6.  Add Crystal Effects to the cherry - let dry (about 10-15 minutes)
7.  Adhere cupcake with Stampin' Dimenstionals to the layer stamped in step 1
8.  Layer onto 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" Poppy Parade cardstock with Stampin' Dimensionals
9.  Adhere onto Pool Party card with Stampin' Dimensionals (yes, I LOVE Stampin' Dimensionals!)
10.  Cut a Poppy Parade heart using the NEW Fashionable Hearts Embosslit with the Big Shot.  Adhere with a Mini Glue Dot
11. Enjoy!

Framelits with PS I Love You!

Today's card features the brand new Framelits by Stampin' Up!  I used both Framelit Collections;  Hearts and Labels.  Along with the new 2012 Occasions Mini stamp set, "PS I Love You" (125460w or 125462c).

The stamped heart and Red Glimmer Paper heart were punched using the Full Heart Punch.  The "Love You" heart was stamped first, then die-cut with the Big Shot using the smallest heart in the Hearts Framelit Collection.  Then the hearts were adhered to the Label Collection Frame.  I can see myself getting a lot of use out of these Framelit Collections. You're gonna love them too!!

I finished the card with the Tulip Frame Texture Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.  Plus added a Whisper White Organza Ribbon.
