Onto today's card...my Summer Smooches Sneak Peek Card!

SAB Quilted Elementary Elegance

Tomorrow, March 31st is the last day of Sale-a-Bration!  Can you believe it?  It's also my daughter Angie's birthday.  So I thought I'd share a birthday card today and one last Sale-a-Bration card, using the Elementary Elegance Stamp set and Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (both free with $50 order).

Dawn's Instructions: 

1. Punch out 4 squares of Everyday Enchantment DSP with the Postage Stamp punch.
2. Adhere them to piece of 2-5/8" square of Very Vanilla cardstock
3. Run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Texture Embossing Folder
4. Adhere to piece of 2-3/4" square of Peach Parfait cardstock
5. Adhere to piece of 3" square of Pool Party cardstock
6. Adhere to piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Peach Parfait cardstock with Stampin' Dimensionals
7. Add Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon and Everyday Enchantment Brad (SAB Choice!)
8. Adhere to base of 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" folded Very Vanilla
9. Stamp "shadow" leftover rubber from Elementary Elegance Stamp Set with Pool Party ink (I stamped off).  Then stamp Happy Birthday with Peach Parfait ink.
10. Punch with Curly Label Punch and adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals
11. Add Butterfly with Mini Glue Dot (from Beautiful Wings Embosslit)
12. Enjoy!

April Stamping Club Sneak Peek: Stampin' Up! Sweet Shop

Here's a Sneak Peek at one of the projects we'll be doing at my upcoming April Stamping Clubs, using the Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper from the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog.

DAWN'S STAMPING CLUBS

I've been receiving several questions about My Clubs, so I thought I would take some time to put together some Dawn's Club FAQ's:

Q:  What do you do with your clubs?
A:  We make three projects each month.  Projects range from stamping techniques, punch art, fun folds, Big Shot and more!

Q:  Is there a project fee?
A:  Yes, $5.00 per month.  If you pre-pay for the year, there is a discount.

Q:  I'm long distance, can I be in your club?
A:  YES, anyone can join my club

Q:  How do your clubs work?
A:  There are three different ways you can join my clubs:

• 1.  Local Stampers:  Join a club that meets in my home the first Tues/Wed of most months. 
• 2.  Neighborhood Stampers:  If you live within 45 minutes of my home in Waverly, MN...you can form your own club of at least 6 stampers, and I'll come to your home.
• 3.  Online Stampers:  Yes - I have a club option available for you too!!

Q:  Will I get hostess benefits?
A:  Yes, if you are in clubs #1 or #2, you will receive hostess benefits during one month of your club membership.

Q:  What does a Online Club Member get?
A:  Each time you submit any online order, including your "club order" and it is $50 or more, you earn DOstamping Loyalty Rewards STARS.  Collect 10 STARS and redeem for a free stamp set from me!

Q:  How will I get the projects if I'm in the Online Club?
A:  I will send the project kits to you.  Note:  Stamping is not included in accordance with Stampin' Up! policy.

Q:  How will I know how to do the projects?
A:  I have a private online club project page which you'll have access to, with a photo of the finished project with instructions or link to how-to video.

Wow Wednesday: Everyday Enchantment Hat Box, Recycled Stamp & Store Containers

If you're anything like me, you have a few empty Stampin' Up! brad/button containers laying around.  Today's project puts them to good use with this Everyday Enchantment Recycled Container Hat Box.

This was one of my Leadership Sale-a-Bration Presentation Projects.  Definitely one of my favorites.  One of my hostesses favorites too, as they each received one as a gift from me for having an in-home workshop during Sale-a-Bration - only THREE more days!

Here are some of the details:
A.  The Hat Box itself is very easy and pretty quick to make.
B.  The Faux Suede Flower - though not hard, does take some time to make
C.  The Hat Pin bow uses an easy Multi-Loop Fork Bow Technique

Shelli inspired Elegant Bird and SAB Everyday Enchantment DSP

I don't know about you, but I totally overlooked the new Stampin' Up! Elegant Bird Die from the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog (pg 10).  I thought it seemed too big for a card and really, it just wasn't my style.  Well - how wrong was I?  I'm now totally in love with it.  That's because I saw several ways to use the Elegant Bird Die on Shelli Gardner's Blog, CEO and Co-Founder of Stampin' Up!  She totally won me over and I had to get it!

I think my Big Shot Club Members were pleasantly surprised when they completed their Elegant Bird card last week using the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper - pg 7 (Sale-a-Bration Free choice w/$50 order - ends March 31st).  Take a look.

Stampin' Up! Catalog Date Change & Starter Kit Substitution

As you may have heard, Stampin' Up! will be changing the release date of their upcoming catalog to JUNE 1ST!  That means the current 2011/2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog will end May 31st.  Only a couple months away!

There will also be a name change as well, to Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 Annual Catalog.  Along with a few more changes such as the Definitely Decorative line will be discontinued and there will no longer be a Summer Mini Catalog.  But don't worry, as there will still be a Holiday and Occasions Mini catalogs and they will be larger to offer you more seasonal products!!

 Because of this change, Stampin' Up! just announced... 

Starter Kit Substitution Item March 20, 2012 The Definitely Decorative line will be discontinued with the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog. Because the Starter Kit currently includes the Always Bird Décor Elements, new demonstrators have the opportunity to select a substitute item (valued at $9.95 or less) that can be used to promote their new business beyond June. When filling out the Independent Demonstrator Application--whether online or paper--new recruits can simply select any catalog item of $9.95 or less in place of the Always Bird Décor Elements.
