Notes for the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog

Ooh - I'm so excited for tomorrow's official release of the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog!!  I know you're excited too, as you've been sharing your excitement and wish lists with me.

So I thought I would take a minute and review some housekeeping items for tomorrow:

1.  I will be updating my blog tomorrow morning with links to the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  Plus new wish list, stampin' supply list, etc!

2.  Online ordering will not be activated until 12:00pm (mountain time).  From Stampin' Up!:  Online Ordering will be down on Friday, June 1, from midnight to noon (MT) while we transition the system to the new 2012-2013 annual catalog

3.  I know many of you are so excited for the new Stampin' Trimmer (me too!).  However, this product is not quite ready for release.   Here's what Stampin' Up! says:  As we completed the final enhancements to this product, we knew it would not be available June 1. However, we included the photos and product information in the 2012-2013 annual catalog because the Stampin' Trimmer is on its way soon!

I will be sharing new projects and videos all weekend long, so be sure to stop back to check out all the goodies!

Stampin' Up! Retiring: Flower Fest Retro Rollerskate Card

Oh my gosh...take a look at this Retro Rollerskate!  This was my friend Kelly's card at a shoebox swap I attended a few months ago.  I immediately knew my Big Shot Club Members would love it and they did!!

Not sure who imagined a Rollerskate from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Stocking die...but it was a stroke of genius!!

With a little Flower Fest stamping to add a 70's Retro feel, this card is ready to roll!  (ha - get it!)  Flower Fest is retiring, and TODAY is the last day to get it.  Plus if you already have the Butterfly Punch - you're gonna need this stamp set too.  As Flower Fest has a matching butterfly image!

Dawn's Product Shares for 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog

You've been asking.  And now it's ready.  Dawn's 2012-2013 NEW Product Share Offerings!

What better way to experience the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog's new Designer Series Paper, Ribbon and Embellishments, than sharing the cost with others?  That's exactly what a product share is.  As you reserve your share, I save a spot for you.  When a share fills up, I collect your payment, then order the product.  It's then split it up between the share participants and I send it to you.

Also back this year will be a limited supply of my popular DSP Swatchbooks.  These take a alot of time to put together, so I'm not sure how long I will be offering them this year.  Definitely June and July.  Then we'll see after that.  But don't wait.  If you think you want one, put your reservation in right away.

When your shares fill, I will email a Paypal (*) invoice to you to complete the payment process.  I will then place my order with Stampin' Up!  Upon it's arrival, I will sort, cut, wrap/assemble, package and mail. This can take upwards to 10 business days.

 

(*) I use Paypal for all my billing needs.  However, a paypal account is not required to make your payment.  Just an email address and credit or debit card is all you need.  When you receive my paypal invoice, you can choose to pay using your paypal account funds or by credit/debit card.  Just follow their SUPER EASY instructions to make your payment via the method that is most convenient for you.

Coming Soon: Stampin' Up! New Firm Foam Classic Stampin' Pads

With the release of the Retired Accessories List last month, it was announced that Stampin' Up! would be updating their Classic Stampin' Pads with a new Firm Foam design.

I've been receiving a lot of questions about the change and have been answering them on a one on one basis so far.  But as the last day of ordering retired product is fast approaching (May 31st, only 5 days away), I thought I should share some more information about this exciting new change.  That way, you can make a decision on which ink pad is the right fit for you (whether the retiring current ink pad, retiring current Stampin' Spots or the upcoming new Firm Foam Pad).

First off, I want to clarify...

The only thing changing is the pad itself.  The inkpad case looks the same and will have the same functionality as it currently does.  However, starting on June 1st, you'll notice a few changes which are outlined below.

With the introduction of the Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 Annual Catalog, we have made exciting changes to our Stampin' Pads.

We'll be introducing NEW Stampin' Up! Firm Foam Ink pads! They change your stamping experience for the better.

In addition, our new Stampin' Pads

• Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)-just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!

Please note: Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with the new firm foam pads. These colors are:

• Basic Black
• Basic Gray
• Marina Mist
• Perfect Plum
• Tempting Turquoise

All five colors of the reformulated inks have been fully tested and approved. While using the new ink formula in the old Stampin' Pads is fine, we do not recommend using the old ink formula in the new firm foam pads. Any current color refills purchased after April 30, 2012, will contain the new formulated ink.*

* However, the new ink formula for Basic Gray, Perfect Plum, and Tempting Turquoise will not be available until June 1. In addition, the Neutrals, Subtles, and Brights ink color collections will not contain the newly formulated ink for Basic Gray, Perfect Plum, and Tempting Turquoise until June 1.

For My Grandsons: Mickey Mouse Punch Art Card

Since we've returned from the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Disney World with our grandsons Max and Sam, they are still talking about their delightful experience.  I was so thrilled that we could give them this experience.  I dare say...if I hadn't earned a free trip to Disney World through Stampin' Up!, we probably wouldn't have made the trip at their young age.  As it turn out...the visits with the Disney Characters created a lot of memories for those two little boys.  And me too, as I watched their surprise and delight throughout the trip.  Just priceless! 

As they both had birthdays recently, Max turned 5 and Sammy turned 3, I made them each a Mickey Mouse Punch Art card with a little surprise inside.  They were a hit.

Isn't this cute?  Max knew what it was right away...chocolate!  That's right.  I picked up some Disney Character Chocolate Coins while at Disney World.  He popped it in his mouth so fast, his mom didn't even realize there was chocolate in the card. Below is Sam pretending to read his card - how cute!

Minnie Mouse Tip:  just move Mickey's bow tie to the top of the head and you now have Minnie Mouse!!  I show a sample of her in the video - at the end.
