Guest Stamper Sunday: "Out of the Box" Bobbi Peterson

Oh my gosh...you are in for a treat today. It's Guest Stamper Sunday again and today I'm featuring a DOstamperSTARS from MN, Bobbi Peterson.   As a hobby demonstrator for the past 3 years, I've seen Bobbi grow as a stamper and as a person.  I always enjoy her out-of-the box card making style and color choices...she has a knack for it!  As she's from southern MN, I don't get to see her as much as I would like to.  But it's always a joy when we do get together.

Today, Bobbi is sharing a couple cards that she submitted for some of our DOstamperSTARS Creative Challenges this past summer.

Isn't that Pumpkin Pie just too cute?!  How clever is that? Thank you Bobbi for sharing your fun "out of the box" style with us today.

Wonderfall and Autumn Accents: How DO They GoTogether?

A few people have been asking me, "How do you stamp and die cut the new Stampin' Up! coordinating products Wonderfall stamp set and Autumn Accents Bigz Die (both found in the 2012 Holiday Mini Catalog)?".  That's a really good question.  And there is an easy answer answer: Die cut first, stamp second.

stampin up, dostamping, dawn olchefske, demonstrator, wonderfall, autumn accents bigz die, big shot

I know it sounds backwards to die cut first and stamp second.  That's because with punches and framelits, I recommend stamping first and punching second.  However with the Autumn Accents die, I recommend die cutting your leaf image first and stamping second.  It's a lot like how you stamp with a background stamp, as you'll see on today's video.  Which also covers tips for when use the NEW Core'dinations Card Stock too!

Today's card is a case from Jen Brum's card on SplitcoastStampers.  I came across her card and it just shouted to me...make me, make me!  So I did - LOL!

Video: Mary Polcin's Interlocking Hearts Framelit Card

Back in March, I attended a Stampin' Up! Regional Event in Milwaukee.  My favorite swap I received was from Mary Polcin.  I oohed and aahed over her Interlocking Hearts Framelit card as soon as she handed to me.  She's one talented stamper.  I knew immediately I would be doing it at one of my Big Shot Club Classes

This summer I finally got around to doing it and it was a big hit with my club members!  Thank you Mary!!  My version (shown above) has one less framelit heart.  You can see her card on the video below.  Be sure to check it out, as you'll be surprised at just how easy it is to do!!

Control Freaks Tour Sep 2012: Perfectly Preserved Cider, Thank You

Freakwelcome

Welcome to the Control Freaks September2012 Tour (officially starts September 20th). We are thrilled to have you join us today. Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers sharing projects made with Stampin' Up! products. In fact, you may have just come from fabulous freaker, Jan Tinklenberg's Blog

Our theme for this month is: "Stampin' Up! Halloween and Fall".  My projects today will feature the fun Perfectly Preserved Bundle (129943w or 129944c), which includes the stamp set and Cannery Framelit bundled together to save you 15%!  Here we go...

The Perfectly Preserved Jar Tag would make for a perfect addition to any gift of homemade canned fruit, salsa, applesauce, jelly, etc.

Perfectly Preserved Apple Cider Pouch

Ever since I made the Scentsational Season Hot Cocoa Pouch (see video), I had it in my mind to make a pouch to hold a apple cider drink packet.  I'm excited to share it with you today.  I enjoyed using the Orchard Harvest Designer Fabric to tie off the pouch with a cinnamon stick.  Added a 3D apple, stamped and cut with the Perfectly Perserved Bundle.  It makes me smile.
