Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle 2012: Feel Goods Sneak Peek

At Founder's Circle Events, we typically receive product from an upcoming catalog.  And this year was no different.  We received a stamp set called "Feel Goods".   As I was doing a lot of chatting & visiting, I didn't get a chance to complete my make & takes.  But I did get pictures of the Feel Goods display board.  Take a peek...

I think this is going to be a fun set to use, as it has some great sayings.

Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle 2012: Kanab & Horseshoe Bend

Last Friday found the Founder's Circle Acheivers on a bus to Kanab, UT to tour the Stampin' Up! manufacturing facility.  Always a delight!  But even more so this year as we had lunch with the Kanab employees in their beautiful dining room and patio.

After lunch, we boarded the bus again to the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area where we boarded a raft for a 3 hr slow float down the Colorado River, through the Horseshoe Bend. 

 

Then after rafting we grab our dinner in these adorable tote bags and boarded the bus for the long ride back to St. George.  It was a long day, but a fun one!

Guest Stamper Sunday: Alele Cruz

It's Guest Stamper Sunday and today I'm featuring a new DOstamperSTAR, from Puerto Rico, Alele Cruz.   In the short time she's been a demonstrator, I've come to know Alele as generous and thoughtful.  She sends me sweet little packages to play along with our DOstamperSTARS Monthly Creative Challenges.  Always includes wonderful little notes filled with kindness and wisdom.  I'm so blessed to have her join my group.

Today's Alele is sharing with us a card voted "one of the favorites" by our DOstamperSTARS,  In Color Thank you Card

I love the way she used all the 2012/2014 In Colors (126835).  She paired it with the popular Besty's Blossoms stamp set (126004w or 126006c), along with the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp set (126255w or 126257c) with matching Bitty Banners Framelits (129267) and topped it off with the multiple scallop edges made with the Adorning Accents Edgelits (125595). 

In addition - she sent along this stunner of a card, congratulating me on my acheivements.  I just had to share it with you.  The star image was a 2012 Sale-a-Bration set and is now retired, but the DSP is current, called Patio Party (126916) - the same paper I used on my Founder's Circle swap cards.

Doesn't she do great work?  Alele currently does not have a blog.  But maybe she will sometime in the future.  Though, I'm sure I'll be sharing more of her fabulous artwork again here on my blog.

Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle 2012: Gathering Place

The Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle's Gathering Place is just that...a place to gather.  It's always so welcoming and warm, you just want to curl up on the couches and chat the day away.  Or pull up a chair and work on stamping projects.  Whatever it is - the Gathering Place is the place to do it!

What did I do today?  I pretty much stayed in the Gathering Place all day.  Made a few cards, had lots of conversations, laughed and snacked the day away!  Ahhhhhh!  Another good day!

Founder's Circle 2012: Welcome Dinner

Woohoo - I'm here in St. George, UT for another fabulous Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Achiever Event.  I got in pretty late, got checked in and made it down to the pool party and dinner, just in time.

Founders Circle PJ Party & Swap: Patio Party Simple But Wow!

One of the things I look forward to at Founder's Circle each year is the Pajama Party Business Share!  So tonight, not only do we get to hear great ideas from fellow demonstrators and be comfy in our PJ's, but we also do a swap with 120 other Founder's Circle Achievers! 

This year's Founder's Circle swap theme is "Party Ready:  Simple Make & Take Cards".  I love this theme, as I'm always looking for easy but wow ideas for my workshops and classes.  For my swap - I went with one of my favorite class cards.  It's a fun, but easy layout and got rave reviews at my classes this summer.

Isn't this a fun card?!  It showcases the Patio Party Designer Series Paper really well.  I needed 10 sheets for 120 swaps and I found that it worked out perfectly, as only one pattern wasn't doing it for me (12 sheets come in a pack).  You can actually see 3 of the patterns I use above (one is in the background of the 2nd sample).

Mary Alice Bellis Perfectly Preserved: Scarecrow and Autumn Jar Banner

You're in for a treat today.  Mary Alice Bellis, a member of Kay Kalthoff's group designed some Perfectly Preserved samples.  Specifically an adorable Scarecrow and Autumn Jar Banner.  And lucky us...they were on display at the DOstamperSTARS Camp-a-Rama last month.  Her projects totally blew us away with their creativity and outside-the-box thinking.  I'm delighted to share them with you today!

Isn't this amazing?  And yes, even the scarecrow is made using the Perfectly Preserved Bundle.

Another amazing project!! The corn, pear and apple are all 3-D, made with four images folded and adhered together.  So stickin' cute!  See below for a close up of the corn.
