Control Freak Stampin' Up! Tour: For the Men in Our Lives

Welcome to the Control Freaks October 2012 Tour (officially starts October 20th). We are thrilled to have you join us today. Our tour is nice and short and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers sharing projects made with Stampin' Up! products. In fact, you may have just come from freaky friend, Barb Mullikin's Blog

Our theme for this month is: "For the Men in Our Lives".   The first thing I thought of was my grandsons, Max and Sam.  They are men...right? 

So first up is a Dinoroar Coloring Cards & Matching Bookmarks

Max is into both coloring and dinosoars these days.  So, I'm thinking his friends are probably into them too.  Won't these be fun birthday cards and bookmarks for his friends?

Then of course, I'll need a card for my husband, Gene.  Need for Speed fits the bill!

 

 

Gene actually helped design this card.  It started out being just gray and black, but it was missing something.  He said, "the car has to be red".  So red it is!  I added the red strip of cardstock and the card came together much better.  The inside completes the card.

It's a Wonderfall Turkey Thanksgiving!

Each month I have a creative share challenge with my DOstamperSTARS.  It's fun to see what they come up with.  Last month, Connie Plaumann shared a Wonderfall Turkey Treat Basket, using the Autumn Accents Die and matching Wonderfall stamp set.  I totally fell in love with her Wonderfall Turkey and came up with my version below.

Yes, I've got a video for you.  Just a heads-up, I've be fighting a nasty cold this week and it has affected my voice.  So I do sound a little off.  But I'm on the mend and just had to share a Thanksgiving card with you, as I know you're all pretty much done with Halloween.

Stamping Basic Video: Background Stamps

One of my favorite type of stamps used to be Stampin' Up! Background Stamps.  With the popularity of Big Shot Texture Impressions Embossing Folders, I haven't picked up a Background Stamp in awhile.  Well, this month I've rediscovered my love affair with Background Stamps and I'm in my happy place!  Aah - the joy!
