Plymouth Unite & Excite: a huge success!

Last month I was honored to be selected by Stampin' Up! to host an Unite & Excite event in Plymouth, MN.  The event took place this past weekend and I'm thrilled to say, it was a huge success!  

Seventy five local demonstrators gathered at the Medina Entertainment Center to share creative and business tips, socialize, make new friends (sounds like Girl Scouts, huh?), prizes and more!

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #098: Remembering 911

Here are the details for Dawn's "Just Cards" Buffet TO GO Class:

1. You'll receive a variety of the card kits shown. You'll receive at least 5 or more different card kits, of which some you'll receive two of, for a total of 8 card kits. (Cards may not be hand selected, as they are packaged randomly.)  However, monthly subscribers will be guaranteed a full selection of card offerings.
2. Card kits include envelopes and the pre-cut card pieces and accessories for you to complete your card.  Adhesive is not included.
3. Details instructions are NOT provided.  Once the class is mailed to you, you will receive an email notice that will include the card kit PDF.  The PDF will include a photo and supply list for each card.  Be sure to save the PDF to your computer to assist you in completing your card.  If you need detailed instructions, this class may not meet your needs.
4. Die cutting and shape punching will be completed for you (without stamped images).  However, most border punching is NOT provided.
5. Texture embossing will be completed for you as well, except when stamping first is necessary. 
6. Stamped images are NOT included in the card kits.  This is in accordance with Stampin' Up! copyright/angel policy.   If you do not have a specific stamp set used for a card, you may purchase them in my online store or you can substitute like-size or styled images.

Amazing Birthday Window Fun Fold Card Video: Take a "Peek-a-Boo"

Paper Pumpkin by Max: Big Wish rating

As some of you know, I gave my grandson Max a subscription to Paper Pumpkin for his birthday.  Not only is he lovin' it...it's the gift that keeps on giving, as it comes every month!  What fun for a 7 year old, right?

He and his brother, Sam stopped over yesterday (and Angie, of course) for a visit.  They came bearing gifts.  A thank you gift.  Take a look...

   

The card and box are from the Big Wish kit (from July).  That little box is bigger than you think.  It fit 11 Ghirardelli chocolate squares in there - yum!

I have to admit...I'm having as much fun with him getting the Paper Pumpkin kits as he is.  Whenever he receives a new one, he gives me a call and let's me know what color ink is in that month's kit.  It's a lot of fun to hear your grandkids speak in Stampin' Up! colors.

 

With the Big Wish kit, there was enough to complete the following projects:

• 6 cards and envelopes
• 6 boxes, ribbon, tags
• 6 extra tags

We have a rating system for each Paper Pumpkin kit.  When he's done making the kit, I ask him to rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 (five is the highest).  The "Big Wish" kit was rated a 5 on the "Max Scale" (though he said that mommy rated it a 3). 

Warms my heart!  If you're looking to create papercrafting memories with your kids, grandkids, nieces/nephews...I highly recommend giving Paper Pumpkin a try!

Another Screen Divider Card: Ornamental Pines - ooh!

For today's Ornamental Pines Screen Divider card, I got an "ooh" from my husband!  When a card can illicit more than a "that's nice" response... that's sayin' something, don't you think?

I have to admit...I too, am completely in love with this card.  Not only does it feature my favorite Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog  stamp set, Ornamental Pines, but take a look at that "stars" border...love!

I was just besides myself with glee, when I was punching this card. The Confetti Stars Punch results are spectacular!  But that's not all it does...beside border punching, it creates tiny little stars that you can use as confetti (largest star measures 1/4").  You'll want to add this to your punch collection, it will make you smile!  (one word of caution - punch it with scrap paper a few times first.  Mine had a little "oil" residue on it that once you punched it a few times, it will go away)
