I have mix feelings about announcing my Just Cards Buffet TO GO January Class.  On one hand...I'm excited, as it was SO popular with my Monthly Subscribers this month.  On the other hand...I only have 4 class kits left.  So, if you're interested - you'll want to purchase yours right now! 

I did try something a little differently this month.  Instead of each card featuring a different stamp set...I decided to focus on just a few main stamps:  

• Two cards with the new Occasions  Catalog Painted Petals stamp set 
• Two cards with the new Sale-a-Bration free stamp set, Big Day
• Two cards using the Annual Catalog set, Work of Art
• One of the Work of Art cards also uses the Wetlands stamp set
• One card for Valentines Day or Love theme.  Uses the Groovey Love & Just Sayin' stamp sets (but any heart or greeting stamps could be substituted)

Here are the details for Dawn's "Just Cards" Buffet TO GO Class:

1. You'll receive a variety of the card kits shown. You'll receive at least 5 or more different card kits, of which some you'll receive two of, for a total of 8 card kits. (Cards may not be hand selected, as they are packaged randomly.)  However, monthly subscribers will be guaranteed a full selection of card offerings.
2. Card kits include envelopes and the pre-cut card pieces and accessories for you to complete your card.  Adhesive is not included.
3. Details instructions are NOT provided.  Once the class is mailed to you, you will receive an email notice that will include the card kit PDF.  The PDF will include a photo and supply list for each card.  Be sure to save the PDF to your computer to assist you in completing your card.  If you need detailed instructions, this class may not meet your needs.
4. Die cutting and shape punching will be completed for you (without stamped images).  However, most border punching is NOT provided.
5. Texture embossing will be completed for you as well, except when stamping first is necessary. 
6. Stamped images are NOT included in the card kits.  This is in accordance with Stampin' Up! copyright/angel policy.   If you do not have a specific stamp set used for a card, you may purchase them in my online store or you can substitute like-size or styled images.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #115: Crazy About You Bundle

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Sketch Challenge!  

I had a card idea in my mind for awhile now, for using the new Crazy About You stamp set and Hello You Thinlits Dies (bundled to save 15% off).  When I saw today's sketch, I immediately thought..."I got this".  It came together almost exactly as I pictured it, so that makes me happy - just like the card! 

There's a few little details about this card that I'd like to share with you...

• Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper is a Sale-A-Bration choice (free with a $50 order).  It's acutally white embossed paper.  When adding color, the embossed areas will resist the color.  I used a Stampin' Sponge and just swiped Cantaloupe Crisp ink over the paper, which revealed the embossed design!
• Crazy About You Photopolymer Bundle (comes in wood or clear mount too), it has 3 floral images and 30 phrases/words.  A must-have set.  Both of the flower images coordinate with a Stampin' Up! punch - yay!
• 1-3/4" Circle Scallop Punch

• Sandwich the cardstock between a dryer sheet on the bottom and wax paper on top and you'll be amazed at how easy your cardstock will release from the die.  It's like magic!!

QC: Amazing Painted Petals (Have you fallen in love yet?)

Today I've got a QC card for you before I head off for a fun night of stamping and swapping!  This is one of my swap cards.  It features the new Painted Petals stamp set.  Have you fallen in love with it yet?  I have!  Well, you knew that already if you saw last week's Painted Petals card.  

I'm using some of my favorites things on this card:

• Layout:  this is one of my "to go" layouts. Pefect for vertical images.
• Ribbon:  I never get tired of our Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon.  I always have a couple of rolls on hand.  It's a very economical ribbon (15 yards for only $5.95).
• Tone on Tone:  If you're a follower of mine, you probably already know this...but I LOVE the "tone on tone" look.  

I used the tone on tone look twice on this card.  1) for the added texture on the card base (with the new Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder), 2) for the mat on stamped focal point.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #114: NEW Painted Petals

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Color Challenge!  

For today's card, I reached for a new Occasions Catalog stamp set called Painted Petals.  I'm totally head over heels in love with the set. You'll get amazing watercolor effects with these stamps...no brushes required. And because it's a Two-Step stamp set, there are lots of creative options for combining individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want.

 

Painted Petals comes in all three stamp options.  However, as it's a two-step stamp set, I do recommend the photopolymer option for easier image placement.

I do recommend "practice stamping" to get a feel for the positioning of the flowers I used.  I couldn't decide if I prefer stamping the leaves first or the flowers first.  Either way - they turned out amazingly beautiful!
