DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #119: Simply Wonderful Butterflies

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a Home Sweet Home Challenge!
I was practically giddy when I saw this week's Thursday Challenge inspiration!
When I started on today's card, I focused on the color and was inspired to first create a color palette using our Shimmery White card stock. As I knew I was going to use water to create the look I was going for, I knew the Shimmery White card stock would hold up well. Here's what I did...
Misted Shimmery White Card Stock Tips:
- Using Sponge Daubers, sponge ink colors randomly onto Shimmery White card stock (101910)
- Melon Mambo
- Pumpkin Pie
- Pacific Point
- Wet card stock with water using a spray mister.
- Let dry. Speed up the drying process with a Heat Tool
- Cool-huh?!
From there, the card came together rather nicely. Using the new Occasions Catalog Butterflies Thinlit Dies, cut three butterflies from the Misted Shimmery White Card Stock (I actually got 6 butterflies from one piece of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2").
The greeting is from a free Sale-a-Bration stamp set called, Simply Wonderful (6 greetings and 1 flower image). It's heat embossed with Versamark ink and White Embossing Powder. Then colored with Blendabilities (medium markers of Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi).
I just have to say - I love the way the card turned out. But I especially LOVE the Blendabilities colored embossed greeting. On the black card stock - it just pops!!
