Pretty Petals Paper Stack Trio of QC Cards

Did you see the Note Tag Punch Window Trick Video I shared yesterday?  No, then you'll have to see what everyone is raving about!

As promised, today I'm sharing more cards using the Note Tag Punch Window Trick.  This time, I'm using the fun and floral Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack.  The catalog does not do this paper justice.  You just have to see it in persona to take in all the pretty patterns included in this pack!

• 48 Sheet, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs

• Coordinating colors: Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Very Vanilla

I decided to keep these cards Quick & Cute, and only added small punched accents with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  You could easily change out the greeting from the Tin Of Cards stamp set, as it comes with several wonderful choices...truly a must-have stamp set!

My favorite is the Old Olive card and my husband's favorite is the Pacific Point card.  Which is your favorite?

Note Tag Punch Trick: You're Sublime!

You're in for a treat today!  I'm sharing two adorable cards made with the new Stampin' Up! stamp set, You're Sublime.  Plus...a new How'd She DO That? video demonstrating the Note Tag Punch Window Trick I shared on Thursday. 

I'm enjoying the clever wordplay and adorable images from the You're Sublime Stamp Set. You can give someone a load of thanks or acknowledge their “toadal” awesomeness all from the same set!

Card Details:

• Both images were stamped with Jet Black Stazon Ink onto 3-1/2" square Shimmery White Card Stock, (my go to "watercolor paper".  I find it forgiving and easier to work with for me.)
• Coloring was done using an Aqua Painter with ink pulled from inkpads (Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Hello Honey & Tip Top Taupe).  
• The colors were inspired by the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack.

Note Tag Punch Window Tricks

• Two punch window
• Start with 3-1/4" square piece of paper
• Push paper all the way into the punch and center side to side, punch
• Turn paper around 180 degrees and punch again
• Three punch window
• Continue on by turning paper 90 degrees
• Push paper all the way into the punch and center side to side, punch
• Four punch window
• Continue on by turning paper 180 degrees and punch again

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #138: Bohemian Birthday!

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Color challenge.

 

Today's color combo is inspired by the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up! 

My card was inspired by fellow demonstrator Georgia Giguere.  I made a few minor changes to her card, but basically I cased her fabulous card.

You might be wondering about the "window" for the greeting.  That's made with the Note Tag Punch.  I have a How'd She DO That? video coming that will demonstrate how to do this cool punch trick.  Susan Campfield shared the trick at a local demonstrator meeting this past spring.  I believe she got the idea from one of her downline.  I love that about the Stampin' Up! community...lots of sharing going on!

Sheltering Tree Tunnel Fun Fold Card

After last week's Fun Fold Tunnel Card video, many of you said you were planning on making the Sheltering Tree sample I shared in the video.  So I thought I'd share the details with you today.  By the way...thank you for all your sweet comments from last week - they came pouring in and I'm ever so grateful for such awesome readers, subscribers and customers! 

• Whisper White cardstock (3-3/4" x 5")
• Wild Wasabi cardstock (4" x 5-1/4":)

View from the top

Remember, you start with just two panels of cardstock measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".  Score one at 2-1/8", 4-1/4" and 6-3/8".  Leave the second one un-scored for stamping (of the inside of the card).

If you want to decorate the inside side panels, the cardstock measures 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" (Wild Wasabi)

The inside stamping was completed before assembling the card.  Watch video for tips on how to do that.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #137: Wild About Flowers

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Home Sweet Home challenge.

When I saw this week's Thursday Challenge, I was immediately drawn to the flower pots. So I decided to bring out the new Wild About Flowers stamp set again. 

I like the way the color pops against the neutral background.  The flowers were stamped (colors listed in supply list below), then punched with the NEW 1-1/2" Circle Punch.  Pop up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Take a closer look...I added a little bit of texture.  Here's how:

• Start with a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Crumb Cake cardstock
• With  4" side against the top of the Simply Scored board.  Score every 1/8" starting at 1", ending at 1-5/8" (total of six score lines)
• Flip over (this will now be the front of the card)
• Tie Linen Thread around twice, positioning under the grooved lines

I think it added a nice little touch.  Plus it reminds me of the "siding" in the challenge photo.  So, what do you think...like it?
