QC Six Sayings: Into The Woods Thankful

Oh my gosh - I can't stop making cards using yesterday's card design.  The layout came from a project shared at a virtual meeting I attended on Tuesday.  I totally fell in love with the layout and can't stop making cards with it.  

For today - I stayed with the Six Sayings stamp set (free choice with a $150 or more order).  But selected the "thankful" greeting that features a beautiful scroll-like font.  Take a look...

The only difference from yesterday's FaBOOlous card is the textured Mossy Meadow card stock panel replaces the Happy Hauntings DSP and is slightly smaller (4" x 3-3/4") to accommodate the larger greeting.  The texture comes from the new Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

You're probably thinking, "what pattern paper is that?"  Good question.  It's from the Into The Woods Designer Series Paper.  Several of the patterns are very "woodsy" styled images.  But a few patterns feature Rich Razzleberry and Mossy Meadow floral & greenery images.  Pair it with the Into The Woods 3/8" Cotton Ribbon and you've got a winner! 

Several greetings from the Six Saying Stampin' Rewards stamp set are perfect for this style of card.  Just add some DSP and matching ribbon, and you're done in no time at all.  It's the perfect QC design!  I'm sure I'll be using this design layout again (maybe even in the near future...just saying!)

DOstamperSTARS Challenge #155: FaBOOlous Six Sayings

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Home Sweet Home challenge. 

 

For today's card, I honed in on the bats coming out of the chimney and came up with a QC card (quick and cute!).  The "bats" pattern paper from the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper is a perfect choice.  Another perfect choice is the FaBOOlous greeting from the Stampin' Rewards set, Six Sayings (from the 2015 Holiday Catalog).  I think I've said it before, but I'll say it again...this is a must-have stamp set!  When your Stampin' Up! order is $150 or more, you can purchase it with the Stampin' Rewards that you've earned

.

FaBOOlous Halloween Card Instructions:

1. Color Pearl Basic Jewels Embellishments with orange Sharpie marker.  Set aside to dry.
2. Position (don't adhere yet) 4" x 4" piece of Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper onto 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Stamp greeting at top with black ink.  Now adhere DSP piece to stamped panel.  (NOTE:  I recommend this way of positioning, stamping, then adhering because if you need a second chance at stamping, then you won't have the challenge of trying to pull off adhered DSP without tearing it.)
3. Wrap 24" of Basic Black Baker's Twine around the panel twice and tie in a bow.
4. Punch four pieces of DSP using the Banner Punch.  Adhere to panel.
5. Adhere completed panel to folded 4" x 11" Basic Black card stock.
6. Attach orange pearls to greeting.
7. Send your card to someone to enjoy!

DOstamperSTARS Challenge #154: Six Sayings and Flurry of Wishes

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Sketch challenge. 

 

With a sketch like today's, it was hard to resist making a sunflower card. But I challenged myself to make a holiday card instead with the Flurry Of Wishes Bundle (with matching punch). 

Dawn's Flurry of Wishes Card Instructions:

1. Stamp greeting from Six Sayings (Stampin' Rewards choice) with Night of Navy ink on 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock panel.  Run through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling TIEF.  Adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Whisper White thick cardstock.  
2. Use Square Framelits (#4 from center), to cut a square window from 3-5/8" x 3-1/4" piece of Soft Sky cardstock. (Tip: Center Framelit towards top with even spacing on three sides.)  
3. Tie a 10" piece of Silver Cording Trim around the "window" edge. 
4. Adhere a 2-3/4" square piece of Holidays Fancy Foil Vellum to the back of the window and adhere entire window piece to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
5. Punch large snowflake from Snow Flurry Punch (comes with bundle) with Silver Glimmer Paper.
6. Stamp snowflakes with Soft Sky onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punch with Snow Flurry Punch.  Adhere the small snowflake to the silver snowflake with a Stampin' Dimensional, then adhere to the window with a Stampin' Dimensional.
7. Attach a small Iced Rhinestone to center of the snowflake.
8. Enjoy!

 

I just have say...I love the Snow Flurry Punch...cuts two snowflakes at a time.  It "cuts like butter" and matches up perfectly.  This Flurry of Wishes stamp set and matching Snow Flurry Punch is a must-have bundle (save 15%)!
