DOstamperSTARS Challenge #180: Color with Wink of Stella

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a "Color My World" challenge. 

When I saw today's color combo I immediately thought masculine, right?  However, I decided to challenge myself and make something other than masculine.  So I reached for a floral stamp set I haven't used much called, Best Thoughts.  It is a Stampin' Rewards exclusive set that you can choose when your order (or party) reaches $150 or more.   View all the soon-to-be-retired Stampin' Rewards choices.  Note: they are not available for "regular purchase", only with Stampin' Rewards.

Another reason I reached for a floral set is, I just held my club class last night and taught my club members to color with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  We actually used the Birthday Blooms set and they has so much fun.  For today's card, I decided to use Best Thoughts one last time before saying good-bye.

Wink of Stella Coloring Tips

• Stamp flower image with Early Espresso ink on a 4-3/4" x 3-1/8" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock - let dry
• Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to paint stamped image.
  • Squeeze a couple drops of ink refills into a small container (like an empty button container) 
    • Center of flowers = Daffodil Delight
    • Flowers = Marina Mist
    • Leaves & stem = Old Olive
  • Note:  Ink refills work the best, but you could press a corner of a piece of a window sheet (plastic sheet) to the ink pad to transfer some ink to it.  Then pick up ink from that.  I don't recommend using the inside lid of the inkpads or you might transfer glitter to your pad
  • Tip#1: I like to pick up the ink color and pull some it off as it's a little too dark for me at first.  You can always add more color for depth.
  • Tip#2: to change colors, just wipe off on a paper towel until the color is clear again.
• Let dry and admire your results!

Seriously - it's as easy as that.  Even my club members who don't usually enjoy coloring were lovin' it.  Everyone's results were stunning.

This photo doesn't do it justice.  It's hard to capture the shine of the results, but trust me...it's gorgeous!  You'll really feel like an artist when you paint with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush...give it a try!
