New Sneak Peek: Moroccan Nights

One of the all-attendee give-a-ways at the Stampin' Up! On Stage last month was the stamp set, Moroccan Nights. I'm intrigued by the large medallion image and created card featuring it, along with one of the new In Colors, Dapper Denim. Both available starting June 1st.
Dawn's Moroccan Nights Stamping Details:
- Randomly stamp medallion image from Moroccan Nights stamp set with Dapper Denim ink on a 4-1/4" square piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
- Tip for better stamp impressions when stamping on colored cardstock:
- It's important to really ink up the stamp really well. Spend some time to make sure you have an even coverage of ink on the stamp.
- After pressing the stamp to the cardstock, give it a little extra pressure and a little extra time to let the ink soak into the cardstock
- Tip for better stamp impressions when stamping on colored cardstock:
- Use Wink of Stella Gold and flick on gold specks:
- squeeze a little extra down into the brush
- hold over stamped piece
- give it a good couple of whacks and let the flecks fly - ha! But seriously, I had to hit it with quite of bit of force. Experiment with it, the results are definitely worth it!
- Set aside to dry
- Fold 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in half
- Stamp border image approx. 1/2" from each side of the card front, with Dapper Denim.
- Wrap 18" of both Linen Thread and Metallic Gold thread around card front and tie in a bow.
- Adhere dried stamped panel to card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Center in between borders.
- Use Rose Wonder Bundle to stamp and die cut frame & greeting images on scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock with Dapper Denim. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals
I wasn't sure about this set, but I'm completely head of heels in love with the medallion image. Lots of ways to use it. From basic stamping to fun techniques (ie: baby wipe technique, Joseph's coat and more!)

Note: this card was difficult to photograph (to capture the gold flecks). I have to say, it looks way better in real life!
