Control Freaks: Spooky and Paisley Fun!
August 19, 2016
Welcome to the Control Freaks August 2016. We are thrilled to have you join us today. Our tour features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers sharing projects made with Stampin' Up! products. In fact, you may have just come from the always creative, Mary Brown's blog.
Our theme for this month is: New Holiday Catalog! I choose Fall Themed products...take a look.
I'm starting with basic fun stamping using the new stamp set Paisleys & Posies! Choose three colors and stamp an entire panel to create your own custom look.
Dawn's Paisleys & Posies Card
- The Paisley & Posies images are randomly stamped starting with the largest image working down to the smallest image (on 4" x -5-1/4" Very Vanilla cardstock)...as follows:
- Large paisley = Daffodil Delight ink
- Large medallion = Rich Razzleberry ink
- Small medallion = Mint Macaron
- Stamp greeting with Rich Razzleberry ink on 2-3/4" x 1" piece of Mint Macacron cardstock. Adhere to edge of stamped panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Adhere gold sequin trim pieces to centers of small medallions with glue dots (trim off pieces that hang off the edges)
- Adhere completed panel to folded 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Delightful Dijon card base.

Spooky Fun
OK - so, I had intended to somehow incorporate the matching Paisley Framelits into the previous card. But decided to keep the card Quick & Cute...(great for mass-producing). But with the Paisley Framelits still out...
... as I was playing around with them, I noticed the paisley shapes looked like ghosts - woohoo, what fun! I searched for a stamp set that might have some "face" images and came across the new Spooky Fun. Stamped a couple of faces and voila...ghosts!
After stamping the ghosts, I figured they needed a house to haunt...though those ghosts look really happy. Oh well, they still need a house. So I reached for the new Home Sweet Home Thinlits and started building my Halloween scene
