World Card Making Day Blog Hop: Flourishing Phrases Bundle

I'm excited to join in with some of my fellow world wide Stampin' Up! Demonstrators for a World Card Making Blog Hop!

This is such a fantastic way to celebrate this event with lots of amazing inspiration for you. You are currently visiting my blog - Dawn Olchefske from the US and you will be visiting lots of different places in this hop today. The card I'm sharing today is cased from a birthday notecard (3-1/2" x 5"), I received from my sweet friend, Donna Griffith (from the Stampin' Up! home office). It uses the Flourishing Phrases Bundle and I totally fell in love with it, but wanted to make it a full-size 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card for my Stamp-a-Stack class earlier this week. It was a huge hit at the class and I think you will love it too! Here's the details:

Flourishing Phrases Bundle Card - in 5 easy steps:

Apply Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape near the bottom of a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock. Adhere 1/4" x 3-1/2" strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock at the bottom, slightly overlapping Washi Tape.
Die cut Whisper White "border lattice" shape from Flourish Thinlits. Cut exactly in half. Don't adhere yet.
Stamp floral image (from Flourishing Phrases stamp set) with Peekaboo Peach ink. Stamp greeting (from Rose Wonder stamp set) with Watercolor Melon ink. TIP: before stamping the greeting...place lattice shape halfway over Washi Tape so you can "eyeball" where the greeting should be stamped.
Adhere lattice shape with Fine Tip Glue. Attached three Rhinestone Jewels.
Adhere completed panel with Stampin' Dimensionals to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Watermelon Wonder card base.

Or do like Donna did and make a notecard size.

Either one is a lovely card. Plus...as the lattice shape is cut in half, you may as well make two cards...right?

DOstampersSTARS Thursday Challenge #200: Celebrate with Festive Birthday!

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Color My World" challenge.

Woohoo - it's our 200th DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge! These colors are perfect to celebrate! They also coordinate with the fun and cheerful Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper.

Oh my gosh...how cute is this? One of my favorite patterns from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper is the bright & cheery floral design. I paired it with two other "less busy" designs for a fun color block look. Here's how...

Celebrate Festive Birthday in 5 easy steps!

Cut nine 1-1/4" x 1-11/16" pieces of Designer Series Paper and adhere to 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Adhere completed panel to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Pumpkin Pie card base
Stamp greeting from Designer Tin of Cards stamp set with Tempting Turquoise ink onto tag that was punched with Tag Topper Scalloped Punch (start with 3" x 2" piece of Whisper White cardstock)
Stamp flower image from Birthday Fiesta stamp set with Melon Mambo. Die cut with matching Fiesta Time Framelit Die (available in a bundle). Adhere to tag with Stampin' Dimensional.
Tie 8" of Bermuda Bay onto tag and add 3 Rhinestone Jewels (one on flower). Adhere completed tag to card with Stampin' Dimensionals

So happy with the way this card turned out - yay!!

DOstampersSTARS Thursday Challenge #199: Holly Berry Happiness Sketch Card

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Sketch Pad" challenge.

I adore this sketch. Super cute and simple. All it takes is a strip of 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" pattern paper, add a greeting and you're set. For me...I needed to few more decorative details. But either way works.

5-step Holly Berry Christmas Wishes card details:

Fold in half 4-1/4" x 11" Delightful Dijon card base. Run bottom part of card front through Big Shot with Pine Bough Texture Impressions Embossing Folder.
Die cut two small pine boughs (Emerald Envy) and one holly berry (Cherry Cobbler) using Pretty Pines Thinlit dies. Adhere to card.
Adhere 1- 1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper.
Stamp greeting from Holly Berry Happiness stamp set with Cherry Cobbler Ink onto 1" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Color rhinestone jewels with red Sharpie marker and attach to card.

Oh my gosh...I love the way this card turned out. I never would have thought to use Delightful Dijon for a holiday card, but it works...don't you think?

Get started on your holiday cards today. For this card - you can get enough 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" strips out of one sheet of the 12" x 12" Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper to make 16 cards...wow!

Bunch of Blossoms Bundle QC card!

Today I have a quick & cute (QC) share for you using the Bunch of Blossoms Bundle. This card was featured at one of my Stamp-a-Stack local classes and was a huge hit!

This card was stamped at a Shoebox Swap event I attended this summer. When I got to the table, the sample was gone, so I created by own version using the supplies at the table. At home I put the card together and added a greeting.

Speaking of greetings...this stamp set if full of a variety of five useful greetings in a fun script and print combo. A must-have for any stamp collector!

QC Bunch of Blossoms Bundle card details:

Stamp images from Bunch of Blossoms stamp set with black ink onto 4-1/4" x 3" Whisper White cardstock; 3 stems and two outline flower images (left & right flowers). Also stamp one outline flower image on piece of scrap.
Stamp coordinating flower images with Sweet Sugarplum ink. More "solid" image stamp off first, then less detailed flower image "full-strength".
Punch flower from scrap using Blossom Builder Punch and adhere to stamped panel with Stamping Dimensionals.
Adhere completed panel to 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" fold Sweet Sugarplum card base at an angle. Apply Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape.
Stamp greeting at die cut with with smallest Layering Ovals Framelit Dies. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals
Attach 3 Rhinestone Jewels.
