DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #211: Dragonfly Dreams Bundle Sneak Peek

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Sketch Pad" challenge.

For this week's sketch challenge, I reached for some new upcoming products from the 2017 Occasions Catalog. Specifically, the new Dragonfly Dreams Bundle...a must-have for any paper crafter. Imagine them floating across your cards and scrapbook pages!

Dragonfly Dreams Quick & Cute card

Diagonal cut a 3-7/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Falling in Love Designer Series Paper. Adhere pieces (to top and bottom edges) of 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla cardstock.
Stamp greeting (from Dragonfly Dreams stamp set) with Sweet Sugarplum ink (keep close to the left edge).
Adhere panel to folded 4-1/4" x 11" Sweet Sugarplum card base.
Die cut dragonflies using Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit dies from Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. Adhere to card with glue dots.
Attach Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

My camera was not able to capture the full beauty of this card. In real life, it's very pretty!

Cool Treats 2017 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

Today I'm sharing a sneak peek from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog...Cool Treats Bundle. This is the cutest set of products featuring delicious-looking stamps...that you may even be tempted to eat! This quick & cute card was so much fun to make. Check it out below...

Cool Treats Bundle Birthday Card

Texture emboss 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso cardstock with Sparkle folder. Adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Early Espresso card base.
Die Cut 2-5/8" x 3-9/16" Whisper White Layering Oval Framelit. Stamp as follows (using Cool Treats stamp set): greeting with Chocolate Chip ink and cone with Crumb cake ink.
Stamp ice cream on scrap of Whisper White with Peekaboo Peach ink and swirls with Watermelon Wonder ink (stamped off once). Die cut with Frozen Treats Framelits dies. Adhere to oval with Stampin' Dimensionals. Paint Clear Wink of Stella over "swirls".
Die cut Pool Party spoon. Adhere to oval with glue dot. Staple Whisper White Baker's Twine, then tie in a bow.
Adhere completed oval to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I featured this card at my local Stamp-a-Stack class last night. It was a big hit!

Control Freaks Tour: New Sealed with Love Bundle Sneak Peek

Welcome to the Control Freaks December 2016. We are thrilled to have you join us today. Our tour features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers sharing projects made with Stampin' Up! products. In fact, you may have just come from the always creative, Heidi Bak's blog.

Our theme for this month is: New Occasions or Sale-a-Bration!

Sealed with Love Bundle

I decided to focus on the next holiday (after Christmas)...Valentines Day! The Sending Love Suite of products are just so cute! And the Sealed With Love Bundle is a must-have! The Sealed with Love stamp set is filled with 27 images and the coordinating Love Notes Framelit Dies are super cute.

Hello Love Notes Card

Stamp "hello love" (from Sealed with Love stamp set) on 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock with black ink. Adhere to 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" Basic Black cardstock, then to folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Real Red card base.
Die cut two envelopes from Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack using Love Notes Framelits Dies.
- Fold one envelope and tie off with Basic Black Baker's Twine
- Fold three sides on the other envelope. Leave envelope open
- Adhere envelopes with glue dots. Also a dimensional near the top corners of the lower envelope
Stamp "row of hearts" with black ink on scrap of white cardstock. Die cut with small scallop edge rectangle die. Stamp "sending love" on note.
Tie a tiny bow with Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack. Thread onto Mini Paper Clip. Clip onto note and slide into envelope.
Cut heart from Red Glimmer Paper using Confetti Hearts Border Punch. Adhere with glue dot.
Enjoy!

Sealed with a Kiss Jar

Stamp greeting image with black ink on Whisper White cardstock. Cut with 2" Circle Punch.
Stamp lips with Real Red ink. Adhere completed circle to 2-1/8" Basic Black cardstock circle die cut using Layering Circle Framelits. Adhere to jar.
Wrap Basic Black Baker's Twine around lid and tie in a bow.
Fill jar with candy kisses and give to a love one!

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #210: Tin of Tags Metallic Holiday Card

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Product Spotlight" challenge.

What a fun challenge...Metallics! And boy oh boy, Stampin' Up! has a lot to choose from...doilies, embossing powders, foil sheets, thread, enamel shapes, sequins, glimmer paper and more! For me, I landed on Gold Embossing Power.

I haven't heat embossed in a long time and I thought it would be fun. I grabbed the snowflake from the Tin of Tags stamp set (retiring soon!) and got to creating! In no time at all, I had this metallic beauty. Check it out...

Tin of Tags Metallic Snowflake Card

Stamp snowflake (from Tin of Tags - retiring) several times with Versamark Ink on 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" Basic Black cardstock. Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder (remove excess) and heat until melted.
Stamp greeting (from Star of Light) with Versamark Ink on 3/4" x 2-3/4" Basic Black cardstock. Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder (remove excess) and heat until melted. Adhere to 1/2" x 2-3/4" strip of Gold Fold Sheet. Punch 1/8" hole and tie off with 8" of Baker's Twine Trio Pack (retiring)
Adhere greeting to snowflake panel with Stampin' Dimensionals, then to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Basic Black card base.

Another great last-minute card. Sometimes those are the best!

I'm still working on my Christmas card list. I hope to have it done and in the mail by Monday. I may need a few more of these if I find myself running short of cards.
