Lift Me Up Bundle Peek-a-Boo Gate Fun Fold

I have a Fun Fold card for you today! It's called a Peek-a-Book Gate Fold and it was one of three cards we did at my Stamping Club Class last week (will be in my Classes TO GO project kit for February)

I used the Lift Me Up Bundle. This set will lift you up through the atmosphere and up where the air is clear (channeling Mary Poppins - ha!). The happy blend of images and sentiments make this the perfect pick-me-up kind of stamp set. AND...

Peek-a-boo Gate Fold Measurements

Card base (Watermelon Wonder or Mint Macaron):
- 5-1/2" x 7-3/4"
- score at 6" x 1-3/4"
Layering pieces:
- cardstock = (2) 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" (Whisper White)
- pattern paper = (2) 5" x 1-1/4" (Carried Away Designer Series Paper)
Inside panel: 4" x 5-1/4" (Whisper White)

Lift Me Up Peek-a-Boo Gate Fold card

Cut, score and fold card base
Adhere Whisper White inside panel to card "center", and stamp greeting with Watermelon Wonder ink (fold top and bottom flap inwards so you know where to stamp)
Adhere Carried Away Designer Series Paper pieces to Whisper White pieces, then to top and bottom flaps of card.
Die cut large air balloon (either Watermelon Wonder or Night of Navy) with Up & Away Thinlits Dies, Big Shot and Precision Base Plate). Adhere to top flap with two glue dots (there are 2 natural areas to place them)
Stamp larger air balloon (either Mint Macaron or Watermelon Wonder) and scrap of Whisper White. Die cut with matching shape. Adhere over previous air balloon and on top flap with Stampin' Dimensionals (place near the top, so it doesn't adhere to the inside of the card)
Decorate with Rhinestone Jewels

The peek-a-boo gate fold surprisingly easy and fun to do! You'll get hooked on this fold.

Confession time: At first glance, I did was not a fan of the Lift Me Up Bundle. But, I was seeing lots of great cards (swaps & Pinterest) and had to get in on the action. Cool Treats and Sprinkles Embellishments Dip Cone!

Today I'm sharing the yummy Cool Treats Bundle and Sprinkles Embellishments.

You're pretty cool, but the Cool Treats stamp set is just a little bit cooler. Try not to eat these delicious-looking stamps, even though you may be tempted. They only look yummy and may have you running to the ice cream parlor to quench your craving!

Cool Treats Dip Cone

Score 8" x 7" Peekaboo Peach card base in half at 3-1/2" (finished card size = 3-1/2" x 8", fits in a legal envelope)
Stamp "sprinkles" image (Cool Treats stamp set) with Watermelon Wonder ink all over 3-5/8" x 7-7/8" Watermelon Wonder cardstock. Adhere to card front.
Wrap white ribbon (Sending Love Ribbon Combo Pack) around card front and tie in a bow (slide all the way to the right).
Stamp greeting with Watermelon Wonder ink on large scrap of Pool Party cardstock. Die cut with 2-3/4" scallop circle (Layering Circle Framelit Dies). Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp (3) "solid cone" shapes on Whisper White scraps with Crumb Cake Ink. Die cut with matching framelit (Frozen Treats Framelit Dies).
Die cut "ice cream" shape: 2 Whisper White, 1 Pool Party cardstock. Stamp the white shapes with Peekaboo Peach ink.
Add Fine Tip Glue "drizzle" near the top of the 3 ice cream shapes, then "dip" into the Sprinkles Embellishments. Let dry.
Adhere cones with SNAIL adhesive and ice cream with Stampin' Dimensionals.

142742 Sprinkles Embellishments:

Tiny sequins and plastic spheres, perfect for topping a stamped image.
Approximately 950 pieces: 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm
Colors: pearl white, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party, Watermelon Wonder

I have to admit, when I first got the Sprinkles Embellishments, I thought to myself, "other than shaker cards, how am I going to use these cute sprinkles?". My friend and STARS team member, Mackenzie Fuchs suggested the "dip" method...what a brilliant idea! These cones remind me of the "crunch cones" at Dairy Queen. I used to get them all the time when I was a kid...yum!

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #215: Flourishing Phrases Black Magic With a Twist

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Sketch Pad" challenge.

I really like this week's sketch. I can see myself using it over and over. Check out what I came up with below:

Flourishing Phrases Sketch card:

Fold 11" x 4-1/4" Basic Black cardstock for the card base
Adhere 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive cardstock to card front, then adhere 3" x 4-7/8" piece of Real Red cardstock.
On 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" Basic Black cardstock, stamp & color image (follow Black Magic with a Twist instructions below). Adhere to card.
Stamp greeting with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Old Olive cardstock. Die cut with Layering Oval Framelits Dies and adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I know you want to know how to do this fun technique using Whisper White Craft ink and the Watercolor Pencils. Here's how...

Black Magic with a Twist Technique

Stamp image (Flourishing Phrases) with Whisper White Craft ink on 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" Basic Black cardstock. Let dry.
Color image with Watercolor Pencils
1. stems and leaves = Old Olive
2. flowers = Pumpkin pie
3. flower accents/details & circle flowers = real red
4. You could stop here or add a twist
For the "twist", use White Stampin' Chalk Marker to add the white dots (the "twist" of the dots really make the image pop!)

Black Magic is cool technique that is an oldie but goodie. I've got several more samples to share with you in the coming weeks. Some of them with a "surprise twist"!

Sale-a-Bration: Hey, Chick Free Stamp Set

Today I'm excited to share this super cute & colorful Hey, Chick Sale-a-Bration card with you!

Why did the chicken cross the road? To deliver a handmade card to a friend - ha! These playful hens will deliver smiles all around. The "hairy" one is the cutest one of all!

You're How Old Hey, Chick card:

Add texture to 2-1/2" x 4-3/8" Night of Navy cardstock with the Hexagons Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. Attach at an angle to 4" x 5-1/4" panel of Party Animal Designer Series Paper with a stapler. Then adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Watermelon Wonder card base.
Attach two strips of Party Animal Designer Washi Tape to 2-3/8 x 3-1/4" White Shimmery cardstock.
Stamp chick image (Hey, Chick sale-a-bration stamp set) with Archival Basic Black ink and color using Aqua Painter and ink pooled in lid of ink pads as follows:
1. hair = Watermelon Wonder
2. body = Crushed Curry
3. beak & foot = Pumpkin Pie
4. ground = Chocolate Chip
5. shadow = Smokey Slate
6. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals
Stamp "words" of greeting using Labeler Alphabet with Night of Navy and Watermelon Wonder inks on scrap of white cardstock. Cut out each word and adhere with glue dots

QC Balloon Adventures & Party Animal Designer Series Paper!

Balloon Adventure Party Animal cards:

Stamp images from Balloon Adventure stamp set on 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock as follows:
1. large greeting with Emerald Envy ink.
2. balloon and "string" with Tangerine Tango ink
Adhere 4" x 1-3/4" piece of Party Animal Designer Series Paper to bottom of panel.
Wrap Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon around panel and tie in a knot.
Adhere completed panel to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Tangerine Tango card base
Attach Basic Rhinestone Jewel to balloon.

Stamp banner image (Birthday Bright stamp set) with Versamark ink on Pacific Point cardstock (4" x 5-1/4"). Then adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Pacific Point cardstock.
Adhere 4 strips of Party Animal Designer Washi Tape and one 3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Animal Party Designer Series Paper to card.
Stamp greeting (Cool Treats stamp set) with Pacific Point ink on Whisper White cardstock and adhere two pieces of Party Animal Washi Tape underneath sentiment. Die cut using circle #6 from the Layering Circle Framelit Dies
Die cut Silver Foil using scallop circle #6 from the Layering Circle Framelit Dies and adhere to greeting with Fast Fuse Adhesive, then to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Sale-a-Bration: Avant Garden FREE stamp set!

Today I'm sharing a card made with the first set featured in the 2017 Sale-a-Bration Brochure...Avant Garden. This beautiful floral stamp set includes 10 images to create flowers and stamp special greetings (gotta love stamp sets that come with images and greetings!)

I think you could use just about any color combination you'd want, but I chose to play with Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz & Sweet Sugarplum. I also chose one of my favorite go-to designs/sketch, that I thought would work well for the stamps and color.

I needed a lot of these for swap cards. So, I thought it was best to "collage" stamp an entire sheet of Whisper White cardstock (got nine 3" x 2-1/4" pieces out of one sheet). Shown above is how I stamped the first image.

Collage Stamping with Avant Garden stamp set:

Stamp each flower twice with Sweet Sugarplum without reinking in between (called "stamping off"). Then repeat all over the sheet.
Stamp flower centers with Sweet Sugarplum
Stamp leaves with Pear Pizzazz, stamping off.
Stamp speckled image with Soft Sky (stamp off if you like)
Tip: When "collage stamping", start with the largest image and work your way down, filling in with the smallest images.
Cut entire sheet into nine 3" x 2-1/4" pieces - woohoo!

Avant Garden Thanks card:

Adhere one of the collage-stamped 3-2/1/4" pieces to 3-1/4" square of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, then to 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.
Wrap Succulent Garden 3/8" Ribbon around panel and tie in a knot.
Adhere completed panel to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Soft Sky card base with Stampin' Dimensionals
Stamp greeting on scrap of Whisper White cardstock with Pear Pizzazz, cut with 1-3/8" Circle Punch. Adhere to Sweet Sugarplum cardstock cut with 1-1/2" Circle Punch. Punch 1/8" hole in tag.
Thread Old Olive Baker's Twine though tag and around ribbon, and tie in a bow. Adhere tag down with Stampin' Dimensional.
Attach Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Pretty, huh? Like I said, you get nine pieces out of one 8-1/2" x 11" sheet. Then you can have these special thank you cards on hand to send out a friendly thanks when you need to. Like birthday cards, you can never have enough thank you cards on hand!
