Today I'm sharing...Birthday Bright Project Kit alternative card idea. You'll find this kit in the 2017 Occasions Catalog (pg 13) or here.

Using all the pieces from the Birthday Bright Project Kit and suggested ink colors & coordinating Birthday Bright stamp set...this alternate card idea comes together quick and CUTE! It especially shows off the fun embossed card base. Here's how...

Birthday Bright Alternative Card

Stamp on white tag from Birthday Bright Project Kit as follows using the Birthday Bright stamp set:
1. "big" = Archival Basic Black
2. "wish" & balloon = Watermelon Wonder
3. candles = So Saffron
Adhere stamped tag to black striped tag
Thread twine through holes and tie in a bow.
Adhere tag to folded black base with the clear embossed dots.
Adhere honeycomb circle over balloon shape.
Place 3 yellow enamel stars on card .

Tip: when mailing this card...only adhere one side of the honeycomb circle done. Slip in a note for the receiving to tear off the adhesive backing and stick the other side down. Then it won't get squished in the mail.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #219: Make a Medallion with Glimmer Paper

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Sketch Pad" challenge.

As soon as I received my pre-order of the new 2nd Release Sale-a-Bration products, I knew I would be using them for today's sketch. The free Make a Medallion stamp set was the perfect choice for the focal point and the free must-have Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack was just right for the small strip of paper. Here's what I came up with...

Make a Medallion: Quick & Cute 5-Step Card

Adhere 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Sweet Sugarplum card base.
Adhere 4-1/4" x 3/4" strip of new Sale-a-Bration Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper to card.
Stamp new Sale-a-Bration Make a Medallion images with Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron inks on 3" square of Whisper White. Die cut with Layering Circle Framelits Die (2-3/8"). Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp greeting with Sweet Sugarplum ink on 1/2" x 3" strip of Whisper White. Trim ends into banner shape. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Thread Whisper White Bakers Twine through silver Mini Paper Clips. Clip onto medallion, then tie twine into a bow.

No Bones About It: Black Magic with a Twist!

I'm making the shift from flowers to dinosaurs this week with Black Magic with a Twist. I wanted to show you something outside-the-box with this technique and thought the No Bones About It stamp set would be fun to work with...and it was!

No Bones About It: Black Magic with a Twist!

Randomly stamp dinosaurs with Whisper White Craft ink on 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black cardstock.
Use Watercolor Pencils in "combos" to color each dinosaur (color with lighter one, then add details with darker one):
- Bermuda Bay & Pacific Point
- Melon Mambo & Rich Razzleberry
- Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie
- Old Olive & Early Espresso
- Play around with different color combos
Use White Chalk Marker to add dots for the "twist".
Stamp greeting with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on scrap of Old Olive cardstock. Die cut with Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Die. Adhere with SNAIL and staple.
Adhere completed panel to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Old Olive card base.

Nailed It: Trio of Cards

Today I'm sharing the 2017 Occasions Catalog bundle & save...Nailed It, with Urban Underground Designer Series Paper.

If I had a hammer stamp, I'd stamp it in the morning, I'd stamp it in the evening, and all over this land. Now that I got that song in your head (ha)...check out this trio of cards that you can hammer out in no time at all!

Nailed It Trio of Cards

Add texture to 4-1/4" x 4" Delightful Dijon card stock with Hexagons Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder and Big Shot. Adhere to 4-1/4" x 9" Basic Gray card base (finished card size is 4-1/4" x 4-1/2")
Adhere 3-1/2" square Urban Underground Designer Series Paper (DSP) to card front. Add a strip of Urban Underground Designer Washi Tape to bottom of DSP.
Stamp tool images twice (from Nailed It stamp set), on Basic Gray & Silver Foil Sheets with Archival Basic Black ink. Die cut with matching Build It Framelit Dies. Trim handles off the gray die cuts and adhere to silver die cut. Adhere assembled tools to cards with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp various greetings in either Basic Gray or Delightful Dijon ink. Cut with Classic Label Punch and coordinating die cut "label" from Framelits. Adhere to cards with Stampin' Dimensionals
