DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #220: Suite Sentiments & Falling in Love DSP

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Color My World" challenge.
For today's color combo, I reached for the Occasions Catalog Designer Series Paper called, Falling In Love. These colors are all over this DSP pack!
BUT...I have to admit, at first I did not like this paper. Given that fact - I apparently must like it now, because I've gone through 2 full packs of it! I guess it grew on me and it may grow on you too (if you didn't like it at first). Here's my card...
The layout of today's card was inspired by a card I received from my friend, Julie Davison. I just had to CASE it using this week's color combo. It's perfect design for a quick & cute card (QC)...just my style!
QC Suite Sentiment Falling in Love card - 4 easy steps
- Cut paper: Two 1-3/4" square of Falling in Love Designer Series Paper. Two rectangles measuring 1-3/4" x 3" (one DSP and the other for the greeting - Very Vanilla)
- Stamp greeting (Suite Sentiments) with Sahara Sand ink. Stamp "flower images" (Falling For You) with Soft Sky ink.
- Adhere all 4 pieces to 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Then adhere to folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Blushing Bride card base.
- Cut Blushing Bride cardstock with Sweetheart Punch. Clip on Mini Paper Clip - thread piece of Linen Thread through before pushing fully onto heart. Then tie in a bow. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Easy, right? Love this Quick & Cute layout. Plus, what friend wouldn't like to receive this card. I have lots of people I'm of thinking about who would enjoy it! I think I will make up some more cards with my leftover scraps of Falling in Love Designer Series Paper and send some handmade cards to them. I'm sure it will bring a smile to their face!
