DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #224: Succulent Garden QC Card

t's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Color My World" challenge.
For this week's challenge, I knew I'd be reaching for the newly added Sale-a-Bration choice, Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper. It's the perfect choice for today's color combo, as it coordinates with the following Stampin' Up! colors: Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Sweet Sugarplum, Tip Top Taupe and Whisper White
Recently I received a card from one of my team members, Connie Plaumann. I immediately fell in love with the layout using the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper. It was a "color-block" look and I've been itchin' to use the layout. Today is the day, take a look...
This quick & cute (QC) card came together so nicely. I was very pleased with the results. There are other patterns in the pack that would also look nice together as well. Here's the measurements of the three pieces of pattern paper.
- Multi-colored floral strip = 5-1/4" x 1-1/2"
- Sweet Sugarplum gingham = 2-1/4" x 3"
- Mint Macaron floral = 2-1/4" x 2"
I brought out the Rose Wonder stamp set for greeting. Stamped with Old Olive ink, on 1-5/8" Pear Pizzazz square, from Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies (a must-have!). The flower is punched using the Jolly Hat Builder Punch, and I just now realize it's no longer available...oopsy (I'll have to move that to the "retired drawer"). You can substitute a 3/8" flower.
This was a fun layout to use and I can see myself adding it to my "go-to" file of layouts. Thanks Connie, for sharing it with me!
