Last Day for Designer Tin of Cards, Max's Cards!

It's the final hours of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog! Hard to believe that tomorrow is the start of the new catalog...wow!

This past weekend, I stamped with my grandson, May. We used one of my all-time favorite kits, the Designer Tin Of Cards Project Kit [141651]. It's on sale for only $18.90 (that's 30% off)...for a storage tin and 16 cards - wow!! At that price, you can stock up or even give them as gifts!

Who says organization has to be boring? This fun printed tin gives you plenty of room to store the cards that you make from this kit, plus room for more. After we were done making the kit cards, he wanted to make a card of his own design. I don't generally bring too many supplies with me, so he had me hopping a little bit to find just the right things for his cards. Though, he mostly used the leftover supplies from the kit. Take a look...

He used the Designer Tin of Cards (coordinating stamp set for the kit above - now sold out).

Max turned 10 a few months ago (and his brother Sam is 8). He recently got glasses and looks so grown up. He was really excited to stamp with me. Each time we thought his cards were done, he thought of something else he wanted to add. The final addition was the small balloons on the inside of the card. He wanted to make sure that I told you, "he purposely left some space on the left side for you to add your own message". Didn't he do a great job? He'd love it if you left a comment for him.

We had so much fun stamping together...nothing is better!

Final Reminder for 26-Project PDF Bonus for Eastern Palace Bundle

Today I have several Eastern Palace Suite cards for you. May 31st is the last day to purchase Stampin' Up!'s "special" sneak peek Eastern Palace Bundles AND receive my gift of a 26-project PDF filled with additional ideas on how to use your bundle.

First up is a card I did with my local stamping club last week. The inspiration for this card came from fellow demonstrator, Kim Williams.

QC Eastern Medallion Bundle card

Stamp "star" images with Lemon Lime Twist ink on 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla. Adhere 1" x 4" piece of Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper to panel. Then adhere to folded 4-1/4" x 11" Dapper Denim card base.
Die cut Dapper Denim large medallion (snip "connectors"). Cut Lemon Lime Twist cardstock with 2" punch, then die cut 1-13/16" circle (with "triangles") thinlit. Adhere both together, then to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp on scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, "dots" with Dapper Denim ink and greeting with Lemon Lime Twist ink. Cut with 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Adhere to 1-3/8" Gold Foil Circle (Layering Circles Framelit Dies). Adhere together, then to center of medallion with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Attach 3 Metallic Enamel Shapes (gold).

"Snip" off the large medallion where it connects to the cardstock.

The card was a hit with my ladies and really opened up their eyes to all of the great uses for the Eastern Medallion Thinlits Dies. Especially since I had a display of LOTS of ways they could use the thinlits. The possibilities are endless with this set!

I had a display showing LOTS of ways the Eastern Medallion thinlits could be used. As many of the shapes "remain" in the cardstock, but also with little effort be snipped out...the possibilities are endless with this set!

Framed Art: New Fresh Florals with Layering Love

May 26, 2017

I'm finishing out Sneak Peek week with a special Framed Art piece. It features the new Fresh Florals Product Suite (coming June 1st) and the returning Layering Love stamp set. And, it's surprisingly quick and easy to make.

Fresh Florals Framed Art (5x5)

Die cut 1" x 5" strip of new Powder Pink cardstock with hearts die from Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Adhere to 1-1/4" x 5" strip of new Berry Burst cardstock. Then adhere to 5" x 5" piece of new Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper.
Wrap Whisper White Bakers Twine around project and tie in a bow.
Use new 2017-2019 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Power Pink & Berry Burst) to color greeting, and stamp on Whisper White cardstock. Die cut with 3-1/4" wide oval (Stitched Shape Framelit) and adhere to 3-1/2" wide scallop oval (Layering Ovals Framelits). Adhere to project with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Insert into a 5"x 5" frame (found at Hobby Lobby)

The Fresh Florals Product Suite features the new 2017-2019 In Colors and I predict it will be a hit. You'll definitely want to add it to your wish list for June 1st (after 12pm MT)!

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #232: Happy Birthday Gorgeous Sneak Peek

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Color My World" challenge.

For this week's color combo I substituted the new Berry Burst In Color for Melon Mambo. It's a deeper richer shade of Melon Mambo and I think it works.

Today's sneak peek is the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. This set is filled with lots of greetings and blend of floral and balloon images to create the perfect card for several different occasions. It's also features the new Lovely Words Thinlits Dies. But unlike yesterday's card - just the word cut out is used for today's card. I really think I'm gonna enjoy the versatility of these dies!

Happy Birthday Friend QC card

Die cut Old Olive 3-1/16" wide oval (Layering Oval Framelits). Place on 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Use a pencil to mark a few spots around the oval (so you know where to stamp).
Around the "oval pencil marks" stamp flowers/leaves (Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set) with Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Perfect Plum, Sweet Sugarplum & Old Olive inks.
Die cut "friend" from Berry Burst cardstock with Lovely Words Thinlits dies. Snip off word and adhere to oval with Fine Tip Glue Pen. Then adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals
Tie a bow with the new Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon and adhere with glue dots.
Attach Glitter Enamel Dots.
