Retiring: Beetles & Bugs - Caught a Bug?

On my gosh...you're in for a treat today. This super fun card is made with the 2017 Occasions retiring stamp set, Beetles & Bugs.
Keep these creepies and crawlies where they belong: on your stamping projects! Mix and match layers and colors for all the shuddersome creatures you care to create. Have fun coming up with your own "bug" greetings!
Caught a Bug?
- On 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, use images from retiring Beetles & Bugs to stamp bug "outline" with Early Espresso ink. Stamp 2nd & 3rd step images with Pool Party, (retiring) Delightful Dijon and (retiring) Tip Top Taupe inks. Adhere to 4" x 5-1/4" panel of Pool Party, then to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Tip Top Taupe card base.
- Adhere ribbon to card..3-1/4" piece of Delightful Dijon 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon and 2-3/4" piece of Pool Party 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (both retiring).
- Loop Linen Thread onto back of Tip Top Taupe 1-7/8" circle (Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies). Adhere circle to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Create words for greeting using Labeler Alphabet stamp set as follows:
- BUG = solid rectangle with Pool Party ink, letters with Delightful Dijon ink
- Rest of the words with Tip Top Taupe ink
- Cut out each word and adhere to the stitched circle using glue dots.
This 32 piece stamp set may seem a little daunting at first. But once you start playing with these bugs images, the magic starts to happen! Plus, I'm sure you can come up with a lot of "sentiments" to go with this stamp set. Like these...
